‼️Inside the DSA (w/ James🔻)‼️ "I think AOC is a political careerist, traditionally an opportunist, & on international issues, someone who generally has to be pressured significantly into even making minor concessions." James Ray from Philly DSA joins Bad Faith to unpack the good, the bad, & the ugly debates going on within the Democratic Socialists of America, to distinguish the conservative reformist chapters from the genuine leftists, & explain the battle for the soul of the acronym on ever Neoliberal newscasters' tongue.

"When we stopped doing that & just started saying -- 'okay, how do we obtain committee positions within the party, how do we maintain peace, how do we work with this party,' I think it misses the mark that this party is not actually something that is in any way shape or form an actual ally in the long term to socialist goals and planning. The Democrats exist as another wing of an imperialist apparatus to ensure the maintenance of capital and to ensure the maintenance of US empire." - James🔻

‼️About That Letter (w/ Vijay Prashad)‼️ "I would like to challenge the actual people who drafted this letter to show me proof that Mumia & others signed the letter." Is the recent Guardian letter controversy evidence of efforts to undermine the anti-imperialist left? Is the electoral-faction of the DSA complicit? Marxist historian Vijay Prashad weighs in:

"Platner, Mamdani, the mayor here in Atlanta, & so may of these folks are Fight Agency creations. And the Fight Agency has clearly hacked the team-sport leftist brain -- recognizing what buttons need to be pushed, to what degree, in what situation & in what context to get people to lower their critical faculties and focus on the catharsis of winning for once...It's kind of scary that they have hacked the ostensible left." -Famous Wealthy Youtuber F.D Signifier VIDEO PREMIERE‼️

‼️Woke 1 vs "The Catharsis of Winning" (w/ Famous Wealthy Youtuber F.D Signifier)‼️ "I don't even begrudge Mamdani & AOC and all of them for the way they're behaving, because that is what they're meant to do in the position they're in. And when they come back to us for our vote and support again, we're going to have an evaluation." THE DEFINITIVE, most comprehensive breakdown of the "Woke 1 was crazy" contraversy with the left's most prolific video essayist. Nearly 3 hours you wont want to miss.

If you don’t understand that this is racist, it’s probably because you’re racist too. Saying Charlie Kirk was bigoted should be the least controversial statement on the planet. He regularly argued for white/Christian superiority over other races/religions explicitly, & without reservation.

"What you had in the Maine Senate race was...some guy who's loosely anti-imperialist versus a long-time imperialist warmonger. And rather than make the issue about, 'can we find a candidate who is actually going to fight against war & genocide & the warmongering agenda of Palantir & Lockheed Martin & Blackrock & Geode & Vanguard billionaires...they made it about this guy who has some of the outward trappings of what it might look like." - Kshama Sawant VIDEO PREMIERE‼️

“One of the things I find very disturbing is when they’re bombing Venezuelan boats in the Caribbean, you have two [sets of] people talking on western media. One says we should bomb them and get rid of them and take their oil. And the other group days: ‘Well, Maduro is evil and it’s a dictatorship,’ but we should know for me there is no difference between these two…Who are you to say Maduro is evil. Go and say your own government is evil.” - Seyed Mohammad Marandi

It was wonderful to attend the Green Party conference a couple of weeks ago with leftists from across the country (and Roger Waters ✊ from across the Atlantic) who are working hard to support a people’s party aimed at breaking the duopoly, not folding DSAers into it.

Funny dynamic during Pod Save interview with Seth Moulton: Jon Favs asks Moulton if he is more moderate than Ed Markey. Moulton, someone defensively, says no— he’s also progressive and there’s very little daylight between them on policy. Jon argues that Moulton would do better to identify as a moderate bc some moderate policies are more popular, like a public option vs Medicare for all. Moulton goes on to agree on that policy point, saying that Medicare for all who wants it is better policy and more likely to get done. Moulton seems to understand that it’s better to be seen as a progressive, and is trying to downplay where he’s more moderate than Markey, but Jon is still stuck in a 2008 triangulation mindset, and wants Moulton to brag about his centrism. He is also still refusing to acknowledge that “Medicare for all who wants it” is incompatible with Moulton’s claim that he believes health care is a human right.

“The Democratic Socialists of America are polling better than the Democratic Party & the Republican Party, so the question that needs to be asked of typical establishment corporate Republicans & Dems is why their party is so tarnished, & their brand is so bad, that ideas that do seem relatively novel to the average America ear sound a lot more palatable than two parties that say: ‘let’s fund ICE who are literally murdering American mothers and nurses in the street.”
