So Aditya Raj Kaul is at it again. Every time there is an honest attempt to engage with Kashmiri Pandits, listen to their grievances, address their concerns, and work towards their dignified return, the usual merchants of hate emerge to sabotage the process. You claim Kashmiri Pandits “heckled” Mehbooba Mufti. Fine. Then answer a simple question. Just days ago, during the Heritage Tour led by the Global KP diaspora, wasn’t your respected father, Shri Utpal Kaul Ji, at the forefront of the initiative? Wasn’t an invitation formally extended to Mehbooba Mufti Ji’s residence for participation in the conference? Wasn’t there engagement, dialogue and interaction across political lines? So which version should people believe, Aditya? The one that happens in real life or the one you manufacture on social media? The individual you are desperately portraying as a heckler was actually pleading to be heard after 36 years of suffering, displacement and neglect. A community’s pain is not a prop for your politics. In fact, the very people visible in your own video are seen sitting cordially with Iltija Mufti and MLA Waheed Para, engaging in a respectful and constructive discussion about their grievances, aspirations and the future. There was no hostility. No confrontation. No abuse. No heckling. The only thing being manufactured here is outrage. What clearly troubles people like you is not conflict, but the possibility of reconciliation. Because those who have built their careers, relevance, visibility and even livelihoods around keeping old wounds open cannot afford genuine dialogue. The day Kashmiri Pandits return with dignity, security and justice, the industry of hate loses its market. The people can see the difference between sincere outreach and cynical attempts to exploit the tragedy of Kashmiri Pandits for perpetual political mileage. Truth has a habit of exposing those who profit from division.

Those going Gaga over a comedians sermons do read. History never offered the oppressed a “fair fight.” From Warsaw’s Jewish resistance to Algeria vs France, from Vietnam vs the US to apartheid South Africa even Afghanistan and Iran today numbers never decided courage. In India too, resistance was never about parity. The Maratha resistance against the Mughal Empire under Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the Sikh resistance against Mughal rule led by Guru Gobind Singh, and the Indian Rebellion of 1857 against the British East India Company none waited for a “fair fight.” Strength was never about population. It’s about memory, identity, and love for one’s land. When someone says “fight only when it’s fair,” it sounds less like history and more like personal survival dressed up as wisdom. Maybe instead of quoting George Orwell, a little reading on resistance would help. Credit where it’s due he has built his space in stand-up. But sermons on history and struggle? That’s not his field. Stick to Gen Z comedy. Because if those who resisted from the Marathas to the Sikhs, from 1857 to countless unnamed struggles had subscribed to this thinking, India and its civilizational spine would have long been wiped out. When the Speaker asked members to raise their hands in support of JKPDP’s land bill, Nizam Ud Din Bhat sat silent with his head down. Today, as bulldozers enter his own constituency, he’s questioning the very action he chose not to oppose despite being part of the ruling alliance. Nizam Sahab, that bill wasn’t for a party. It was for every ordinary citizen who voted, whether for NC, Congress or PDP. This double game hurts our people and weakens their future.
