Talking about the Dune IMAX ticket release which is reportedly tomorrow, August 18th, at 9am PST. But some people have been messaging me saying that they were able to buy tickets yesterday??

Now watching: Lawrence of Arabia in 4K.

Fun detail in Dune: The first time a male choir is used in the score is soon after Paul drinks the Water of Life, where he connects the Bene Gesserit to the male side of the genetic memory. Just beautiful stuff happening on every level in these movies.

I noticed that Leto and Paul wear the Ducal Signet on different fingers. Leto wears it on his middle finger, and Paul on his pointer finger. I researched the historical meaning/symbolism of wearing rings on certain fingers and talked about how it fits into their characters.

I’ve been rereading some passages from Dune Messiah after watching this trailer. What more can you ask from an adaptation, than to lead you back to your love of the source?

I love rewatching Dune for many reasons, but one being to just find details in the background. It’s a very lived-in world and deserves to be observed closely.

DUN3 is currently under construction.

My second watch of The Odyssey in Dolby was one of the most satisfying cinematic experiences I have had. Everything clicked, and it felt like the narrative thread in the movie enveloped me like a soft blanket. Holy shit this movie is good.

DUN3 has the opportunity to introduce ancient male voices into the sound design of "The Voice". I'm so excited to hear how they portray The Voice in an older and more powerful Kwisatz Haderach. Dune Part Three cannot come soon enough!
