We now have aircraft tracking on our 3D incident map through our website. It is amazing to see the helicopters dip to a water source and then go to the fire perimeter, over and over again, in near real-time. Our teams are working around the clock to try and bring the best and accurate information to everyone. Southern California 3D scene:

Arriving Monday at the Sonoma Air Attack Base and now available for wildfire response across the Bay Area was CAL FIRE Air Attack 140 and Airtanker 86. A second airtanker, Tanker 85, will join them at our air attack base in Santa Rosa at a date in the near future. Air Attack 140 is an North American OV-10A Bronco Air Tactical aircraft. 🚒 Structure Fire Assist – Quick Actions Make a Difference🔥 On Wednesday, July 24, CAL FIRE LNU responded to assist Lakeport Fire District with a residential structure fire. In this video, you'll see Engine 1468 from CAL FIRE LNU’s Kelsey-Cobb station arriving on scene and moving in to support firefighting efforts. As the engine 1468’s Fire Captain approached the structure, he spotted nearby vegetation starting to catch fire. Without hesitation, the Fire Captain and his crew quickly shifted focus and knocked down the flames before they could spread further. This incident highlights the importance of continuous training and adaptability. Firefighters must be ready to shift gears at a moment’s notice—from battling a structure fire to stopping a vegetation fire in its tracks. 👏 Great work by the Kelsey-Cobb crew and all responding personnel!

Intel 12 has mapped the #PickettFire at 3,235 acres and it is now 7 percent contained. That 1,102 acres of growth from when it was last mapped on Thursday night can be attributed to the fire backing to strategic fuel breaks and historical control lines. There has been no new threat to structures on Friday. Both air and ground resources continue to make an aggressive and effective attack on this fire and progress is being made on its containment.
