Surrey Police officer pulls a driver over after being honked at for allegedly failing to signal while changing lanes — and for signalling then not changing lanes. The video starts as the officer approaches the window. The second he notices he’s being filmed, he reverses, refuses the driver’s ID, apologizes, and walks away. He didn’t deny the traffic violations. Many Canadians have paid tickets for the exact same offences. Should officers who aren’t responding to an emergency be held to the same standard as everyone else?

A Toronto Metropolitan University alumni says he was wrongfully arrested by GardaWorld security after guards allegedly mistook him for Canada Cop Watch. The incident began June 7 2026 after security attempted to remove several people from a public sidewalk on Gerrard Street East, despite claims the sidewalk was public property and outside their jurisdiction. The following night, Auditing Canada returned and was surrounded, handcuffed, and taken into custody by security at aprox 9:10pm on June 8 2026. He remained detained in a security office for more than 9 hours while waiting for Toronto Police. During that time, he says he was initially denied access to a washroom and was forced to urinate in a bottle before finally being allowed to use one at approximately 2:00 AM. Toronto Police did not arrive until shortly after 5:00 AM, when a trespass notice was ultimately issued. Independent journalists repeatedly called Toronto Police for updates, spending approximately two hours on hold across two separate calls before being told officers were tied up with life-and-death emergencies. Meanwhile, Canada Cop Watch observed two Toronto police cruisers parked just south of the campus with officers talking. After noticing they were being filmed, the cruisers drove away. TMU later responded by email stating the guards involved had been removed from the campus and that policies were being reviewed. However, it is alleged that several of those same guards have since been seen working on campus. This incident has raised serious questions about the authority of private security, the length of citizen detentions, and whether someone should be kept in handcuffs for over 9 hours while waiting for police. Do you believe this detention was reasonable, or did security exceed their authority?

Part 3/3: Police escalate and remove the man from his time-limited sexual assault assessment to enforce a Form 1 under the Mental Health Act. He questions the Form 1 reasons and why the officer making allegations isn’t present. Surrounded by five officers, he agrees to go but is denied his request to avoid handcuffs and is cuffed for escort to another hospital. After locating him via phone ping, was this the right priority? Plainclothes Vancouver Police on a man’s private property for an unrelated investigation. He asks them to identify themselves — they start filming. He repeatedly tells them to leave his property. They finally exit but linger at the line, try to re-enter, and threaten arrest when he steps closer while the officer films with a cell phone. Work phone intimidation or personal phone while on duty? Professional or overreach on private property? You decide..

A Toronto police officer was caught on camera snapping on a civilian who approached a police cruiser with a detainee in the back. Police can certainly tell people to stay back for safety reasons. But if there was no touching of the vehicle or actual interference, did this response go too far? What do you think?
