The revisionist history that the Hip Hop world has w/Dame Dash now is astounding. All b/c he not “as up” & talking about the 🐪 smh I’ve never fronted on Dame. I remember what he went through to stop those DEF JAM vultures from hovering his empire and taking everything. Now look at us. There’s hardly any black executive presence in the music industry. One person was creating lanes for artists and trying to keep independence while another walked Corporate America in, sat them down, shook their hand and handed them Hip Hop. I won’t say who though. But This person who claims he “made” other people only “made” himself a billionaire while everyone else is emphatically NOT one. But I DO know who had their hand in securing MANY other millionaires.
