I remember the first time I cooked beans in Haiti. It was 2010, right after the earthquake. I thought I knew what I was doing…Spanish-style, the way I always had. The women cooking in the camp stopped me. They showed me their way. Slow-cooked…mashed into a purée…served over rice. In that moment, I learned what it really means to help after a disaster. You don't come with your own recipes. You listen. You follow. You learn. 16 years later, that lesson is still the foundation of everything World Central Kitchen does in Haiti. Our local teams and Hôpital Albert Schweitzer Haiti partners are cooking that same recipe - the right recipe - for families displaced by violence. And this past year, comforting food like those beans, that purée, that bowl of rice have added up to 10 million meals. #ChefsForHaiti

Today’s attacks on humanitarian workers are war crimes. The world cannot accept this as normal. Too many aid workers have died like this around the world. Russia is a permanent member of the UN Security Council but it attacks UN and WCK vehicles in Kherson, Ukraine. While the aid workers survived unharmed, one resident died. This war needs to end now. This is a lie! Actually @nationalguard has an amazing operation out of Asheville….thousands of them! More helicopters I’ve ever seen in an operation….tones of goods dropped….I see civilian planes landing, civilian helicopters delivering. As World Central Kitchen helicopter no issues!

Quick report on my way to Ashville to join World Central Kitchen teams, from a Waffle House in Abingdon, picking up sandwiches for any hungry first responder I may find in the way! Proud of the teams responding in many states from Florida to North Carolina plus our response in Acapulco..🫶🏻

It seems main Reason Asheville has not water is because the main water line that brings 2/3 of the water from the Laurel Ridge, Black Mountain reservoir is badly broken in different parts. On top of that the pumping stations are damage or without electricity. That why World Central Kitchen we are bringing 5 water trucks for distribution…contributing to efforts to have everyone with access to water..#ChefsForNorthCarolina

Massive response by National Guard U.S. Army FEMA many planes helicopters etc responding to #HurricaneHelene2024 supported by Ashville Airport personnel! World Central Kitchen we just deliver 200 barbecue sandwiches so they have a good bite between missions! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Yesterday as we were delivering food and water to Bat Cave we found a FEMA Urban Search and rescue unit NY-TF1 after a long day airlifting people, etc..a team 18 people and 3 dogs. People like them are heroes all over NC….Homeland Security this what government does and we don’t realize it sometimes…👍#ChefsForNC

Just back from a mission to deliver medicine and food to the Jordanian field hospital 77 in North Gaza. I want to thank the Jordan Armed Forces #RoyalJordanianAirForce for allowing World Central Kitchen to join in our first airdrop mission and helping deliver food! In Iskenderun delivering hot meals, Turkish apples, yogurt, fresh bread and food items to families who sleep in tents or in their cars. Families from around the city gather at night, in the cold, for safety and community. We activated two restaurants! World Central Kitchen #ChefsForTuerkiye

I’m here at Murray’s…is an incredible jerk chicken restaurant in Jamaica, where the team is cooking 5,000 meals for families in Clarendon impacted by Hurricane Melissa. Jamaicans helping Jamaicans…neighbors cooking for neighbors…showing the world what community looks like when people come together. This is Jamaica strong!! Checking in with Chef Ibrahim from our DB Kitchen in Gaza. Each of these big pots of rice feed 185 meals and here they are doing 580 pots each day. But we can do more! With approval from Israel to bring in more food and equipment and fuel, and safe routes to reach our kitchens…I know World Central Kitchen we can scale up to 1 million meals daily. Food is a universal human right and these Palestinian families deserve to eat with dignity…

Reporting from Bakersville,Mitchell county we World Central Kitchen landed to provide meals to Bakersville, NC to the city and National Guard doing amazing work, and even under the circumstances and damage that their city and county had...they have water, food, medicines FEMA support...etc...a community coming together. This is what I see all over...Let' do this!

Este vídeo de ayer por la noche en Bonaire donde los bomberos de Valladolid, saliendo de inspeccionar reportaban lo que habían visto en casi 2 secciones de 4, y si bien queda parking por recorrer hoy…hay esperanza que no haya sido tan malo como se comentaba. Los locales cuentan que allí un martes por la tarde, nadie aparca. Todo el mundo aparca fuera! Esperemos que así sea….Bomberos Provincia de Valladolid UME estos señores son héroes! Y no paran de de trabajar…se merecen nuestro respeto!

There are four World Central Kitchen warehouses in Jordan filled with food for the people of Gaza….rice, oil, flour, vegetables…over 100 trucks loaded and ready to arrive to the border crossing in less than an hour. We have hundreds more trucks ready to bring cooking supplies and more food, but still the government of Israel is not permitting us to enter with aid. We have been cooking and feeding in Gaza at a huge scale for more than 19 months. More than 130 million meals! For months, Israel has not allowed any aid to enter…we have been forced to shut down of our community kitchens and bakeries. We have no food left…but we are ready at any moment to start cooking again. Many innocent families are desperate to eat. Let us feed the people of Gaza!

Este pueblo Llocnou de la Corona es el pueblo más pequeño de España y ya está casi limpio! Garages incluidos…queda mucho por hacer….pero es el comienzo de la reconstrucción…Casa de S.M. el Rey hoy World Central Kitchen es la segunda vez que traemos comida a este pueblo…mañana regresamos para hacerles una Paella Valenciana…Hay esperanza!
