I put a lens after the single slit and see how aperture size affects the focusing of light, and we can observe that a larger aperture can achieve a better focus. That got me thinking, if we want to pinpoint a problem, it's better to view it from multiple perspectives. #optics

A lens can perform the Fourier transform! 🔍 This is the 4F system: the first lens converts an image into its frequency components, and the second lens reconstructs it. By adding an aperture at the Fourier plane, we can filter out high frequencies. #Optics #Physics #b3d

$Diffraction through a single slit: As we narrow the slit, diffraction dominates, spreading light out, revealing its wave-like nature. Widen the slit, and the beam straightens up, its width starts to mirror the slit, just as expected. #physics #optics #fourieroptics #light #photonics #python$

Let's interact with the light waves! Here, I created a real-time simulation that can run in your browser: You can change the beam width and the focusing power of the input light rays. Please give it a try and let me know your thoughts! #Optics #WebGL
