Today, I was asked to leave the chamber after calling out the Premier for remarks I believe were false and misleading regarding my record and the record of members of our caucus on LNG development in Northern B.C. For years, the Premier has attempted to claim that we do not support projects like LNG Canada, while at the same time trying to take credit for a project he actively opposed while in opposition. The people of the North remember who stood alongside our workers, local governments, Indigenous partners, and communities to fight for these opportunities when it mattered most. I am proud of my record. As a Kitimat city councillor, I worked hard alongside many others to help get Phase 1 of LNG Canada to final investment decision. That project has created jobs, opportunity, and long-term economic benefits for our region and for British Columbia. The credit belongs to the many people who put in the hard work over many years to make it happen. I will not sit quietly while the history of that work is rewritten for political convenience. When the people of Skeena elected me, I promised to be a loud, strong, and unapologetic voice for our communities. That means standing up for our workers, our industries, and the truth, even when it is uncomfortable. I will continue to do exactly that every single day, unapologetically.

After a long, awkward pause in the House, the NDP couldn’t even decide who should answer. The Premier has finally admitted he was wrong on decriminalization, and that it had "unhappy consequences." Shameful. British Columbians deserve accountability, not excuses. #bcpoli #NDPfailures #AccountabilityMatters

A simple question. Another non-answer. The Minister says the data was transferred. The government’s own letter says: “All data must be destroyed… including all backup copies.” I spoke with Dr. Somers. He confirmed it was destroyed. So where is it? Either table the data, or tell British Columbians the truth.

🚨‼️ Trust me, you’ll want to watch this. The government keeps claiming they’re investing in treatment — but the numbers tell a very different story. Out of 2,136 publicly funded beds in B.C., only 806 are actual treatment beds. The rest? Supportive recovery, not clinical care. We’re in the middle of an overdose crisis, and this government still can’t deliver real treatment for the people who need it most. #bcpoli #TreatmentNotTalk #MentalHealthMatters #AddictionsCrisis #SafeBC #skeena

Right now in BC, vulnerable people with severe mental illness or brain injury can be left to suffer on the streets—alone, untreated, and unable to care for themselves. This is not compassion, it’s abandonment. That’s why I’m calling for compassionate care legislation in British Columbia—so families aren’t forced to watch their loved ones deteriorate while the system says its hands are tied. We need a legal framework that allows for earlier intervention when someone has clearly lost the ability to meet their basic needs—before it ends in tragedy. This is about safety. About dignity. About doing what’s right. Watch the video to hear why this matters. And if you agree, speak up. #bcpoli #MentalHealthMatters #CompassionateCare #EndTheNeglect
