The team at Stripe is setting the standard for internal AI platforms: minion coding agents, a custom prototyping rig, and now their company brain, Kai. On today's episode of How I AI, Sharadh shows us how 1.5 engineers and 2 weeks got them a company brain, including: - projects as governance - skill routing + telemetry - a skills platform that works for 10k teammates Plus, he and I debate the merits of gentle parenting your AI (esp when your company is running evals.) 💫 👩🚀 GPT-6 Astra is here (and I'm obsessed) I was able to test this model early and it is so, so good. But even better - it has made me 100x more *ambitious* about what I can build with AI. Why? Browser / computer use means it can use any software to build anything (even games.) Coding broke through some of my hardest problems (data, hardware.) AND best of all, it's delightfully not annoying. Here's what I cover in my hands-on review: 00:00 GPT-6 Astra overview 03:44 Browser use to manage CRM workflows 09:08 Flora thumbnail generation 13:00 Browser use for QA 15:20 One shotting a product intelligence feature 18:36 Hardware hack: live streaming mini computer 22:23 Building AIM-style codex app 24:24 Barbie Bench and a 3D kids game 29:27 Summary: I love her 👉 Full ep up on YT:

BIG NEWS: Opus 5 is here...and I *hate* working with it. And yet in a blind taste test, I ranked it above every other model (even Fable and my beloved GPT-5.6) What I cover in my day 0 review: 00:00 Why I have model fatigue 03:15 First impressions 06:12 Opus 5's neurotic personality 14:39 Why claude slop makes my blood boil 16:55 The mechanics behind my blind benchmark 18:30 The leaderboard reveal 23:25 Final thoughts and how I'll actually use Opus 5 With all the twists, turns, and (a little bit of) silliness, this is one of my favorite review eps yet.

Before Fable got released (and pulled) Mozilla was quietly testing Claude Mythos against Firefox's 10M line codebase. The result? Over 400 security bugs fixes, including ones that had been hiding in the codebase for over a decade. Brian Grinstead, distinguished engineer at Mozilla, walked me through the agentic bug-finding harness behind the model. His take? It was 50% mythos / 50% setup. In this ep, Brian walks through: - why you can't just point a model at 10M lines of code - how to write a good goal/loop pattern - killing false positives with a verifier - why it's good to "lie to the agent" And guess what? This isn't magic - you can write your own similar harness in less than an afternoon. Watch now on YT:

"I avoid prompting at all costs." That's techbimbo, a brand designer and AI creative director who has spent thousands of hours in Midjourney building a system that lets her create consistent, beautiful brand imagery with AI -- without complex prompting and srefs. In this ep you'll see: - how Pinterest mood boards communicate your aesthetic to Midjourney better than text - how to build a personalization code so Midjourney learns YOUR taste specifically - her FLORA © flow for fixing and delivering final assets to clients This is by far the prettiest episode of How I AI, and has already changed how we make thumbnails for the podcast. Everything is coming up Grok these days. Grok Grok Bot. Grok 4.6. And Grok Github (or as it's officially named: Cursor origin) I cover it all in this week's mini-ep of How I AI, where I walk through: - my absolute favorite feature of Grok Bot - why multi agent identity > single agent identity - whether or not Origin is a real github killer - grok 4.6 design sense + where it beats opus/sol I also get real honest about why I'm keeping my OpenClaw🦞 around... for now 🦞🆘

Soooo Thariq is on vacation has straight up changed my life with these 5 words: "HTML is the new markdown." It's so obvious in hindsight: while .md is simple to write and agents can read it well, it's a total slog to eyeball as a human. In this special ep recorded live at Code with Claude, Thariq walks me through how he: - uses HTML artifacts as interactive specs - builds throwaway micro-UIs - maintains a living design system in HTML - prompts Claude with "whatever is needed" to give it room to actually think He also tells us what comes after the SWE + PM role 👀 As always, a huge TY to our amazing sponsors: 🔀 Celigo - Intelligent automation built for AI: 🪪 Persona - trusted identity verification for any use case: Watch now on YT:

This is the new bar for PMs: "I'm able to do now in a day what used to take me a week." In this episode of How I AI, Daniel Blum demos how he uses Claude Cowork as an AI system that compounds over time, instead of starting from scratch with every chat. He shows how he - uses Notion as his persona brain - contextualizes Claude with voice memos, links, and updates - how his system "learns" company jargon - built a "workstation" plugin to bootstrap everyone else onto the same system Finally - we cover the 20% Claude still cant do (for now) As always, a huge ty to our sponsors: Optimizely - Your AI agent orchestration platform for marketing and digital teams: Atlassian Jira AI SDLC - Get your tokens’ worth with Jira: Full ep on YT:

Fable 5 (aka baby Mythos) just dropped. Is it as scary (or scary good) as they claim? My thoughts after some early testing: - smart smart smart (crushed SWE bench) - but do you always need hyper intelligence? - faceplanted on one-shot design in a way that shocked me - i'm not sure about dynamic workflows + complex subagents. they work, but at what cost? - def knocked out technical work well - ootb bad at making technical docs + specs for humans. probably really good docs for agents. but nearly impossible to parse prose. - A++ vision and document formatting. this was my favorite part NOT a daily driver, wouldn't put this model in a meeting, but def will keep it back in the server rack, churning out code. Local models aren’t fast and honestly they’re not cheaper (yet!) than your frontier model sub. BUT, you can burn infinite tokens 24/7– and that when things get interesting. That’s why Alex Finn runs a fleet of Mac Studios, a DGX Spark, and an RTX 5090 machine to power ambient AI across his business. In this ep, Alex shows me his local AI setup, including: - how he chooses his hardware - Tailscale to stay connected - how cc and local models work together - his software factory: from build loop to rocket emoji Plus, we have the honest OpenClaw vs Hermes debate 🦞 A big ty to our sponsors! While your team is just getting started vibe coding prototypes, the team at Stripe is vibe coding a full vibe coding platform. Owen Williams ⚡ is a design manager at Stripe who built Protodash - an internal AI prototyping tool that lets designers and PMs spin up real, clickable prototypes in minutes. In this ep he walks through: - why generic AI tools produce "blurple slop" that doesn't match your design system - how he built a full prototyping studio on top of dev boxes with cursor + cc - why more PMs than designers now use Protodash - the design review mode that lets teams ship feedback direct in the app Plus, we talk about getting to the ultimate dream: demos, not memos. ty to our sponsors! 🧠 CESAR - Intelligent automation built for AI 💻 Cursor - The best way to code with AI Full episode on yt:

2 moms, 5 mac minis, 7 kids, infinite OpenClaw🦞 ideas This episode with Jesse Genet might be my favorite How I AI yet 🦞🦞🦞 🦞 🦞 After a tricky start, I finally found my groove with Polly the Clawdbot, and most of that was thanks to being inspired by Jesse. She shows us: - how she runs her homeschool using Obsidian, her iphone camera, nano 🍌, and openclaw - why she decided to invest in fat stacks of mac minis, for physical partitioning of her personal data - what an army of AI agents can do for a busy mom of 4 who "wants it all" Plus we talk endlessly about how AI is perfect for parents aka people "with no hands." A BIG thanks to this week's sponsor, my good friends at: 💎 Optimizely - Your AI agent orchestration platform for digital and marketing teams RUN don't walk to watch this one. 10/10 👉
