🚨Washington SB 5068 will allow ANY non-citizen in the US who is legally working here (refugee/asylee status, Visa holders, etc) to be law enforcement officers. A non-citizen would be upholding the law and the constitution for US citizens!!! This bill is a carry-over from the 2025 session and is on the Senate Floor Calendar for a vote on January 21. Last session EVERY senator (D & R alike) voted to PASS SB 5068. The Republicans get a do-over...a DO-BETTER...vote NO!!! TAKE ACTION NOW Send a message to your legislators:

🚨HB 1399 will give the governor the authority to DE-CERTIFY locally elected sheriffs. This is a blatant effort to get rid of constitutional sheriffs who do not fall in line with radical left policies being pushed down by the state. This bill will be considered again in the 2026 session.

🚨Expired Tabs Bill SB 6176 Moves Forward - Sheriff . Calls for Civil Disobedience ⚠️NEW DETAILS: WA SB 6176 passed out of the Transportation Committee on 2/5 and now moves to the floor for a full vote of the Senate. The bill was amended in committee to remove the provision allowing expired‑tab enforcement in private paid parking lots but otherwise maintains the bill’s core expansion of state enforcement authority. The bill still allows ticketing of parked vehicles on public streets and public property, imposes mandatory fines, and authorizes impoundment after 45 days. Penalties for parked‑vehicle violations are adjusted slightly to align with moving‑violation fines. It is better, but still a very bad bill. 1/2
