Love to see the GPS on that. When all else fails, pure balls & want will take the body where it needs to go. Turnovers = workrate. Serious operator is Mooney.

Stop thinking every bit of fitness has to come from running. Off-feet conditioning is massively underrated in GAA. It’s fitness without the impact: bike, rower, pool work, Ski Erg. Perfect for injured lads, load management, or top-ups. Three big wins: keeps players fit in rehab, reduces stress during busy weeks, and builds aerobic fitness without wrecking joints. Your lungs don’t care if it’s a hill sprint or an assault bike. Energy systems transfer — that’s what matters. How to use it: LISS for aerobic base, extensive intervals for conditioning, HIIT for speed & power, Tabata for game-intensity bursts. Example Tabata on the bike? 5-min warm-up → 10 rounds of 20:20 at 65–75 RPM → 5-min cooldown. Short, brutal, effective. Final word: Off-feet training won’t replace running; but it adds depth, aids recovery, and keeps players sharp. If you’re not using it, you’re missing a trick.
