🚨 LASER STRIKE = FAST TRACK TO JAIL On April 17, 2026, around 9:04 PM, Air 51 was out doing its thing over I-5 & SR-91 in the #BuenaPark area,when someone on the ground decided to play “aim the laser at the helicopter.” Spoiler alert: terrible idea. @chp_fullerton_air_unit kept eyes on from above while CHP Westminster units rolled in below, and just like that, the suspect was located and arrested for 247.5 P.C. Here’s the deal: Shining a laser at an aircraft isn’t a prank… it’s a felony. You’re looking at up to $2,000 in fines and 16 months to 3 years behind bars. That little green beam can cause pilot blindness, major distraction, and put everyone in the air (and on the ground) at serious risk.
