More than 700,000 Albertans signed a petition for a referendum. Disenfranchising those voters won't go over well. Alberta should remain in Canada. Canada should work for Alberta. Denying Albertans a vote is not the way to achieve that.

The GST rebate offers $270 for a family of four. $270 is barely enough to feed a family of 4 for a week. Witness the wide gap between Liberals and working Canadians. Any help the gov't can offer is a good thing, but this is nowhere near enough to help struggling families.
