LJ Martin got a podium game after rushing for 91 yards for BYU in his college debut. He said his entire family was there to see him provide a big spark for the Cougars in the second half. Fantastic kid, he deserves every moment of this and there's plenty more to come.

Here's Tyrice Knight's full comments on electing to stay at UTEP for his final year of eligibility when he had opportunities to go to Power 5 schools if he'd entered the portal. Knight led UTEP with 95 tackles last year. "I'm more of a loyal guy... I couldn't walk out on them."

I'm not from El Paso, but I love it here. The Sun Bowl is my favorite week of the year. It's a chance to display the city to the world. It gives me so much joy when outsiders visit & realize all their preconceived ideas were wrong. I've heard it from a lot of people this week.

12-3, 2-0 in #CUSA for the first time in 9 years, and 9 wins in 10 games for the first time since 2013-14. UTEP sweeps LA Tech and Sam Houston and will host NMSU next Saturday. They play for each other, they play for the city as you can see here. Time to show up for them!

As a team, UTEP ran for 329 yards on 50 attempts without a negative run in the win over Incarnate Word. Deion hankins had a career-high 174 yards, Torrance Burgess Jr.™️5️⃣ had 85 yds and a TD and Mike Franklin had 53 + a TD. Hankins talked postgame about his big day + RBs as a whole.
