@toroschmitz16 ・・・ It’s hard to beat cloud surfing. Also, one of the best things about flying a jet that has more thrust than weight, you can climb *pretty much* any cloud . I was cleaning out some old hard drives from my demo days and found this.

Throw back to when I was evaluating the “Swamp Fox” unit. On this sortie we were testing the air defenses on the East Coast. We initially entered a warning area at low altitude and 300 plus knots. About midway through the warning area we pulled hard to rapidly climb to 15,000 feet. We were immediately met with calls on guard frequencies, “Unknown Rider, Unknown Rider exit the warning area immediately”. We refused to answer and eventually got to meet the Swamp Foxes. 🤣🤣. All these exercises were highly coordinated with the appropriate organizations.

DFW today: Pilots reported they almost hit a hawk with something in its mouth on roll out. Next pilot to land said all they saw was a small bird on the runway. Turns out the small bird was a fish the hawk had in its mouth. 🤣🤣🤷‍♂️

Disoriented and unable to regain control, the aircraft entered a spin, prompting a frantic Mayday call. Here is a personal video from my ride with the Blue Angels We had a great time giving a couple of ships a cool view. Julius "Whiskers" Bratton was the Blues pilot and did an amazing job. I managed to not pass out or get sick. 7 plus Gs with no G suit is a freaking challenge.
