Gotta report warts when I see ‘em. FSD 14.3.3 had a freakout at the tollbooth. As you can see, it couldn’t decide where to go. I’ve gone through many times without issue. Any thoughts as to what might cause this kind of behavior? Also thanks CamCutApp!

One of the simplest things for humans, but incredibly complex for machines, is anticipating the unpredictability of children. Here FSD rolls up in direct sun, spots the kid way before I did, and applies the brakes. But what came after stunned me. Another bike, and another, then a gap, and another bike (and a bonus scooter). At no time did FSD attempt to jump the gap between the children (even when it could have). There was no jitter or indecision. FSD just patiently waited until they all came around the corner and crossed the street. It stayed perfectly still so as not to scare the children. Just like a human would. I’ve seen a lot of amazing things with FSD, but this one really impressed me on a deeper level. As a father, I’m happy knowing more people are using Tesla FSD to keep their own kids safe and to ensure the safety of the kids on the road.

Sat in the Model YL today. Beautiful, but not as amazing as I thought. If you’re considering it, I would sit in the car first. Especially if you have 4 kids (unless they’re small). Had a feeling space would be an issue, and I wasn’t wrong. Still need a larger vehicle from Tesla.

This is how good FSD has gotten. And I’ll admit, I was a little nervous when the light turned green because I thought the car was going to try and go for it. But it didn’t. It waited for the officer’s hand signal, then it proceeded. Incredible that a car intuitively knows this!

OK, weird behavior on 14.3.3. My car, which had been able to park in my garage on 14.3.2, has not only lost the ability, it now puts itself into a humorous endless loop of pulling up to the garage, assessing, backing out, going around my cul-de-sac, and trying again, and again…

Unfortunately, FSD 14.3.9 has ruined the ability to avoid the express/toll/HOV lanes. Even with those toggles all turned off, my car will take the tolls. This requires disengagement of either FSD, or the disengagement of navigation. A new problem I’ve not seen.

At 9am today, this couple systematically walked around my car, attempted entry, and forcibly tried to remove the charger (which has a ring lock, thankfully) at Reagan Airport. They can be seen touching the car, filming it, and looking underneath. It has been parked for 30 hours.
