2024 was the warmest year on record with an average global temp. 1.6°C above pre-ind. level. It's the first year to exceed 1.5°C above pre-ind. level, with every month but one since July 23 surpassing this threshold. Full Global Climate Highlights 2024:

A large Saharan dust plume has stretched across the Atlantic from the west coast of Africa towards the Americas. CAMS data shows that large parts of the Caribbean are most impacted.

The 2023 Southern Hemisphere #ozonehole finally closed on 20 December, becoming the 7th longest-lived in the #CopernicusAtmosphere records. The animation shows the evolution from its early start in August to this late closure. Find out more:

From cool 🟦 to bright 🟥. This heatmap of monthly global temperature anomalies since 1979 visualises an unmistakable warming pattern, with 2023–2025 topping the three warmest years on record.
