Large police and fire dept presence at Narragansett Town Beach right now. Police officers are on the beach as crowds of people are streaming off the sand back into the parking lots. Surrounding police depts responding to the area as well. WPRI 12

FBI teams continue to search the area around Hope St and Waterman St right now.

A solemn moment here at the Brown University memorial tonight… a little while ago, Kento Suzuki walked up by himself and began playing the Duduk, an ancient Armenian instrument. A family soon joining, overtaken by emotion. WPRI 12

Just talked to Noah, a student at Brown who was on Thayer St during the shooting. He describes being inside a restaurant - now trying to figure out where to go since the campus is on lockdown. Says the area was busy with people getting dinner when the shooting happened. WPRI 12

2 dead, 8 injuried in shooting near Brown University in Providence. Providence Mayor Smiley says there is no shooter in custody. Shelter in place order is in place in this area. WPRI 12

PROVIDENCE: Pets rescued from a house fire on Vandewater St just now. Firefighters found this dog struggling to breathe inside. Seems to be doing much better after being given oxygen. Another dog, cat &amp; 2 birds also removed safely. 1 adult &amp; 2 kids transported w/ minor injuries.

Judge Frank Caprio's funeral procession makes its way up route 95 in Providence, escorted by police motorcycles from departments around the state. WPRI 12

Chevy Avalanche w/ bullet holes in it ran from police at over 100mph overnight. The truck was heading north on 95 and ended up losing a tire during the pursuit. Mass State Police chased it up to Braintree where it crashed on ex 6. The driver was taken into custody by MSP. WPRI 12

Seekonk PD cruiser just rolled over on Rt6, into the parking lot of Advance Auto Parts. The officer was trapped in his SUV for at least 10 mins as other officers and firefighters cut open the roof to remove him. He was taken away by ambulance. WPRI 12

Several cars are either stranded or currently trying to get out of flood waters on Rodman St in Fall River right now. Flash flooding has sent about a foot of water onto this road. The street is still open right now. WPRI 12

In the last few mins, police have started removing people from the second floor of the RI State House while the governor delivers his State of the State address behind closed doors nearby. That’s Harrison Tuttle being taken downstairs here. Protestors continue to chant. WPRI 12

Just talked with Savong Sam who found Linda DaLomba in a vehicle outside his house around noon today. He says he noticed the car windows had been fogging up for the last few days - but he’s unsure exactly how long she may have been there. WPRI 12

Trees and power lines down across the Scituate/Foster area as storms continue to roll through. Came across this large tree blocking Rt 116 near Old Scituate Ave while I was trying to get to another scene. Nobody injured here. Scituate PD and FD now blocking the road. WPRI 12

The roof of a small fire station garage on Wallum Lake Rd in Pascoag/Burrillville has caved in after a fire. A fire engine still sits inside the building right now. Firefighters from surrounding communities are here assisting. WPRI 12
