This is from the season of my first state title run as head coach back in ‘89. We started out 4-4 after rippin’ off a 24-12 homecoming win and continued a 6 game winning streak. Although we did take it to North Sunflower’s ass and won the conference to earn the No. 1 seed in the playoffs we still came up short in the championship game losing 15-8. I still call it a helluva year finishing 10-5 after losing our fist 2 games of the season. I was proud of my boys.

CORNBREAD N FIXINS 🌽🍞🍽️ This is my first “pilot” Episode and will continue to make more like this where I travel all over to eat at mom & pops, country buffets and bbq joints of the likin’. Small businesses have struggled so much over the recent years so I want to spread my love of country cookin and highlight these eatin spots that are the back bone of small town and rural communities. Russell Hodges is the proud owner of this ‘pizza place’ in my home town where me & my friends & family have been eatin here since I was a kid in the 90s. Maybe it’s because I grew up on it but I’ll put it against any pizza in the world. Never would I order pizza hut or dominos or papa John’s when I can support a small business like Russell’s and get better quality pizza but also better service because the staff is so friendly and very hard workers. Don’t wait til closing time to come here because if you do I might have eaten all the brownies as they cook them fresh daily. It’s a home town favorite and also my favorite so stop on by if you’re ever passing through the small but wonderful town of Williston located off Hwy 78 heading to Charleston in South Carolina! 🍕 oh yeah I almost forgot they have the best lunch buffet around Monday to Friday 11-2!! 🍽️
