I thanked him and started to walk away when he stopped me and said: “Hey man, you okay? You look like you need a hug.” I was stunned. I came to encourage them, and somehow he saw me. Truth is, I did need that hug. That moment reminded me: kindness is power. Seeing people is power. Taking even 30 seconds to lift someone up can change their whole day. Today, check on someone. Thank someone. Encourage someone. You never know who needs the hug.
