On September 11, 2001, PAPD Officer David Lim secured his K9 partner Sirius in his kennel beneath the South Tower, believing it was the safest place for him while he went to help others. Before leaving, he told Sirius, “I’ll be back for you.” 💔🐾 Sirius never made it out. The yellow Lab was the only police dog killed in the World Trade Center attacks. He was more than a K9. These two crack me up every time. I see a lot of my daughter and me in their antics when she was growing up. 😂❤️ I remember when she was about six and decided to fill the salt shaker. Instead of taking the top off, she put salt on top and sat there with a toothpick trying to push it through those tiny holes. I was supposed to be the serious Mom, but there was no keeping a straight face watching that determination. 😂 My daughter is grown now, but put the two of us together and it usually doesn't take long before we're right back to laughing and carrying on like we always did. Some things you just don't outgrow. 😂❤️

Whose Line Is It Anyway? was one of those shows where you never knew what was coming next, and that was half the fun. 😂 The quick thinking, the improv, the looks they gave each other when somebody went completely off the rails… and somehow they just kept it going. Wayne Brady could take just about anything they threw at him and run with it. They just don’t make shows like this anymore. Sometimes you need to forget all the serious stuff for a few minutes and just LAUGH. 😂❤️

There was a time when television was simply enjoyable to watch. The Carol Burnett Show was one of those classics that could have the whole family sitting together laughing, and sometimes the funniest moments were watching the cast trying desperately not to laugh at each other. 😂 I’m convinced those of us who grew up with shows like this really did get some of the best television and music. Great comedians, unforgettable characters, and humor that didn’t need a bunch of bells and whistles to make you laugh until your sides hurt. They just don’t make shows like this anymore. Sometimes I really miss the days when television was simple, funny, and something the whole family could enjoy together. ❤️

Those innocent victims didn’t get a last meal. They didn’t get to choose what happened in their final moments, say goodbye to their families, or receive the mercy their killers were given. Seeing the Grand Ole Opry come together to honor Dolly says a lot about the impact she had on country music and the people who knew and loved her. I grew up listening to Dolly with my mom and grandmother, so her music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Those songs bring back a lot of memories of both of them. ❤️ Dolly never forgot where she came from. She remained a woman of faith, kindness and humility no matter how famous she became. Rest in peace, Dolly. You left behind one heck of a legacy, and you will be missed. ❤️🙏

Throwback Thursday!🤣😎 I kinda hate to admit it, but I remember every single one of these. The commercials, the jingles, the products... they take me right back to growing up in the 70s. Some of those jingles are still stuck in my head all these years later. 😂 And before anybody says it... NO, I am NOT old! Some of those jingles are still stuck in my head all these years later. 😂 And before anybody says it... NO, I am NOT old! I used to listen to Casey Kasem all the time, and back in 1983, I remember sitting there as he worked his way toward #1. Before he revealed the #1 song, he played snippets of all the songs that had made the list, and I kept thinking it was going to be “Islands in the Stream.” When he finally revealed #1, I was right. It was Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. Hearing this song still takes me right back to that moment. ❤️🎶
