![A "maniac" with a history of random attacks on women — who also once decapitated a pigeon in the middle of Penn Station — was released again after his latest arrest, for allegedly kicking a 7-year-old boy in an unprovoked Brooklyn attack. Jesse Daniels, 23, randomly stormed up to the boy and dealt a swift kick to his left ear that knocked him to the ground around 2:35 p.m. March 6 on Schenectady Avenue near Union Street in Crown Heights, according to cops and CH Shomrim [who originally posted this video]. Daniels was arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted assault in the second and third degrees, etc. He was released on his own recognizance Wednesday, because the charges do not qualify for bail under the state’s lax bail reform laws. Daniels is accused of punching two women, 30 and 31, in back-to-back unprovoked attacks around 8:25 a.m. March 27 in front of the Goldman Sachs headquarters on West Street near Murray Street, police said. He faced multiple charges – but was ultimately granted supervised release by a judge despite prosecutors’ request that he be held on $5,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond. He was previously nabbed on March 12 for allegedly punching a 31-year-old woman in the face inside Penn Station just before 11 a.m. that day, cops said. Daniels was charged with misdemeanor assault, but was ultimately granted supervised release on the non-bail-eligible offense. In a disturbing act of animal cruelty in Penn Station Feb. 13, he allegedly grabbed a pigeon, ripped off its head and tossed both the head and body on the floor, according to cops and a criminal complaint. Then Daniels – seen wearing the Celtics jacket and carrying the ball – callously stomped on the bird’s body, the court doc said. Daniels was arrested two days later by an Amtrak Police officer who spotted him in the station and charged with torturing animals. Bronx September 24 An Allerton mother is demanding justice after her 11-year-old daughter was brutally attacked while walking her dog after school. Surveillance video shows a group of young people surrounding the girl, throwing her to the ground and repeatedly punching her, even kicking her 3-month-old puppy. A bystander eventually rushed in to stop the attack. The girl, who has epilepsy, suffered a seizure during the assault and was taken to Jacobi Hospital. The young girl also suffered several injuries to her face and body. Her mother says she had previously gone to the school district twice requesting a safety transfer for her daughter after earlier threats from the same group. Via News12BX

New Jersey Nov. 17, 2025 A Toms River police officer accused earlier this year of breaking into her former boyfriend’s home pleaded guilty Monday and will now forfeit her position with the department, authorities said. Rebecca Sayegh, 32, of Toms River, pleaded guilty to burglary, criminal mischief and simple assault, according to a statement from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office. Sayegh once lived in the home with her former boyfriend, whom she dated for five years, according to her attorney Terrance Turnbach. She was off-duty when she used a baton to smash the front door glass and enter the home in the Bayville section of Berkeley on April 25 at about 11:20 p.m. as her former boyfriend and his new girlfriend sat in the living room, according to prosecutors. Sayegh began arguing with the pair after entering, and the verbal dispute turned physical when Sayegh began pushing and shoving both victims, according to Assistant Prosecutor Isabella Young. The woman suffered swelling to the eye when Sayegh poked her with her fingernail, Young said. Sayegh threw a plant back into the living room and then went upstairs to break items and rip pictures off the wall as her ex-boyfriend and the other woman retreated to the backyard to call 911, Young said. She also scratched the hood of one of the victims’ vehicles, authorities said. Sayegh also tried to fight with responding officers and physically resisted being arrested, authorities said. She was also accused of threatening to burn the house down as police walked her down the driveway. She caused $2,000 worth of damage to the house and $500 in damage to a car, Young said. Following her arrest, she was released from the Ocean County Jail as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform, the office said. Sayegh now faces three months in jail as a condition of probation and will likely be ordered to have no contact with the victims and will have to pay restitution to them, officials said. In addition to forfeiting her position with the department, her plea deal will not allow her to be publicly employed in the state, the office said. Sayegh had filed a lawsuit against the department and township last year, alleging that former Toms River Police Chief Mitch Little and other superiors sexually harassed her and passed her up for promotions based on her gender. In the lawsuit, she alleged a “boys club” atmosphere prevailed. As of Monday afternoon, the lawsuit was still pending, according to online court records. Text from njdotcom
