Two men have been convicted over the murder of a delivery driver in Camden following an investigation by the Met Police. Ahmed Ali Jama, 29, (Pic1) was stabbed four times on the Abbey Estate, Abbey Road in December 2023 by a man in dark motorcycle clothing and a balaclava. Emergency services attended reports of a large disturbance yesterday evening, in Kilburn. Along with Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service, London's Air Ambulance Charity sent both a helicopter and land based teams, but unfortunately despite their efforts a male victim of a stabbing died at the scene. Once again crimes like these have knock on effects to the community, not only because of vehicles trapped in the cordons but on this occasion two totally uninvolved residents had their cars seized by police for further forensic opportunities to be explored and developed. This is London’s 38th reported murder investigation this year. The 5th investigation launched in May and 2nd in two days. This is also the third murder this month which involved an earlier gathering on or near an estate. An organised crime network that dominated the sale and supply of class A drugs in Bethnal Green has been convicted and 16 men sentenced to a combined 100 years, following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police. A two-year investigation dismantled the ‘Specs’ drugs line, which flooded Bethnal Green with 14kg of class A drugs, mainly crack cocaine and heroin. The sheer number of calls the gang received from drug users – 250,000 in two years – shows the scale of the operation. Police responded to reports of a shooting yesterday afternoon in Woolwich. This was sent to me so unable to credit the creator. Nor aware of date. But on TVP ground. But it is situations like this, which need addressing. Police have to respect the public have the right to film in a public place. But the public need to respect that police have the right to secure a scene, when required. Imperial Way, Croydon CR0 I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the management team at Costco Croydon, who ensured scene guard officers were kept supplied with water throughout the day — a simple but vital gesture that makes a real difference in difficult circumstances. It’s also worth highlighting one of the lesser-seen consequences of major crime scenes like this. Two lorry drivers, both delivering to Costco from the north of England, have now been stuck in their cabs for over 24 hours, unable to move their vehicles as they remain caught inside the crime scene cordon. In a further update in the Murder Investigation in Feltham Metropolitan Police have arrested two 16 year old and a 19 year old males in connection with the investigation. 31/5/25 Murder Investigation-Fatal Stabbing-Woman in her 20s Deceased-Man in his 30s Arrested. Frith Rd, Croydon, CR0 Metropolitan Police Press Release. A murder investigation has been launched following the fatal stabbing of a woman in Croydon. Police were called to Frith Road at 09:07hrs on Saturday, 31 May following reports of a stabbing. Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance, who treated two injured people at the scene. A woman in her 20s sadly died at the scene. A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with minor injuries. He has since been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in hospital. A scene is currently in place near to the location and those in the area can expect to see a police presence throughout the weekend. Detectives are in the early stages of establishing what has happened, but initial enquiries suggest the incident begun at a nearby address, before escalating onto Frith Road. Superintendent Mitch Carr, who leads local policing in Croydon, said: "This is a tragic incident where a young woman has lost her life and our thoughts are with her loved ones. "I especially want to thank the members of the public, including a teenage boy, who bravely tried to help the victim. "We believe that this was an isolated incident, but understand that this news will shock the local community. Officers will remain in the area over the coming days and we would ask anyone who has concerns to speak with them."
