HILARIOUS: Drunk LA voters to NBC News NOW on why Spencer Pratt is the best candidate for mayor.... "[H]e's speaking out against communism and socialism, and it is a real big problem in our cities, especially in LA, where it's turned to crap. It's not an accident. They're doing it by design. Karen Bass wants to destroy our city, and it's nice to see someone like Spencer Pratt." "I can simplify it because those buzzwords are, like, they -- they -- they -- they melt the brains of, like, left, you know, leaning people. So, let's just say it this way. He doesn't want you -- a human feces to be a part of your life. Yeah. He doesn't want homeless children outside." "Oh, you don't like that? Oh!" "She ran away!" "When you have homeless people outside of the elementary having sex..."

WATCH: Wednesday’s ‘CBS Mornings’ opened with 78 seconds addressing the decision by editor-in-chief Bari Weiss and new ‘60 Minutes’ executive producer Nick Bilton to fire Scott Pelley for insubordination... Vladimir Duthiers: “All right, before we get to the news this morning, we want to share with you some news about ourselves and long-time 60 Minutes correspondent, Scott Pelley. On Monday, new executive producer Nick Bilton called an all-hands meeting to introduce himself to the staff. That meeting became contentious when Pelley publicly questioned the management decisions regarding the replacement of the former 60 Minutes executive producer, Tanya Simon, and publicly criticized the decisions of CBS News management on the future direction of 60 Minutes. According to CBS News management, efforts were made to see if both sides could reach common ground. Pelley met with senior management of CBS News last night, and no agreement could be reached. Pelley was then informed by 60 Minutes executive producer Nick Bilton that CBS News and 60 Minutes would have to part ways with Scott. He was terminated for cause. Scott Pelley released a statement which expressed his ‘gratitude for the men and women of CBS News who encouraged and enriched my work very often at the risk of their own lives.’ Pelley went on to say, ‘I pray for a day when those people and their ideals are honored again, a day when sanity, competence, and courage return.’ In a letter to the staff, Bilton stated, ‘What I will commit to this is this: my unyielding support for each of you and the journalism that you do and what we will do together going forward.’” Nate Burleson: “Yeah, we know his impact on journalism and this network is undeniable.”

IRONY ALERT from Jake Tapper, perhaps one of the few people who has an ego on par with Scott Pelley... “So, I don’t cover news media a lot on the show. I don’t — I think it’s — I generally think it’s naval gazing. I generally think that we have so much to cover. But this story felt different. It felt a little different with Sharyn and Cecilia and the executive producer last week. And then this — this very public kerfuffle with Scott Pelley. This is bigger than just this show and just this channel, don’t you think?”

WATCH: NBC’s ‘Today’ spends 91 seconds warning Trump going to Walter Reed for a physical today places “a growing spotlight” “on the President’s health ahead of his 80th birthday” and the “visible health issues” include “bruising on his hand,” “swelling on his lower legs,” and “doz[ing] off some recent White House events” Garrett Haake touted the fact that an ABC/Washington Post poll found only “40% of Americans believes the President has the mental sharpness” to do the job and only 44 percent in “physical capacity” to be in office

NBC's Craig Melvin: "In the days and weeks after [the 2024 debate], you continued to insist that the President was fine. How do you square thinking that he may have had a stroke with what you were saying in the days and weeks after? How do you square those?" Jill Biden: "Well, Craig, look at it from my point of view. So, I'm watching, just like everybody else was, scared to death, like, what is going on. He gets off the stage, I see, he appears to be okay. He says to me, Jill, I really, in other words, messed up, didn't I? And I said, yes, you did. And so, we get off -- and I know we're going into another event, or we have two more to do. And my mind is racing. What do I say to him? What do I say to him? I'm his wife. I've got to lift him up. So, we go to the next event, and I'm thinking saying, what do I say that will lift him up that is true? I want to say things that are true. So, I said, you answered every question. My mind was racing." Melvin: "That's a pretty low bar." Biden: "Well -- so, I had to sort of lift him up. I'm his wife. I'm not going to get out on the stage there and say, Joe, you really screwed that up. I mean -- and we have all of our supporters, you know, so that's who we are. I had to support him. I couldn't come out and -- I mean, really, publicly, say, Joe, you did a terrible job in a debate?"

Former CBS correspondent-turned-MeidasTouch pundit Scott MacFarlane scoffs at the notion found in polls Americans don’t trust the media... “I would venture the bold prediction that, if Americans were surveyed about the trustworthiness of 60 Minutes, it may have more support and more trust, more credibility with Americans than the general milquetoast term “media.” What is the media at this point that they’re being polled on? Are they talking about specific programs, specific sources of information? Are they talking about the garbage on the internet, the garbage on talk radio? Are they talking about the actual verified, bonafide source sources of journalism? The ones who actually have credibility and empirical evidence to back up their reporting. This all feels to me like apples and oranges.”

While the newly-fired and remaining staff CBS’s ‘60 Minutes’ continue to scream I AM SPARTACUS at editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, CBS Mornings kept up its ongoing commitment to spotlighting entitlement fraud, specifically in Gavin Newsom’s California. Correspondent Adam Yamaguchi told viewers about Paul Randall, a California man set to face sentencing for having stolen $270 million in Medicaid dollars that he used to finance a lavish lifestyle in Orange County

CNN's Scott Jennings on Virginia's Democrat gerrymander: "Virginia had -- literally had the fairest maps in the nation. They had a 6-5 map, six Democrats, five Republicans. In terms of proportional representation, they had the fairest map in the nation. That was drawn, by the way, by an independent commission that the voters asked for just a few years ago. Now they will have the least fair maps in the nation. And I'm not surprised that the yes vote won. They had all the money and all the lies. And sometimes in politics, when you got those two things, you can put something over the line, even something as egregious as this. This whole thing has driven Spanberger's approval ratings down into the toilet. She lied to the people of Virginia. They had to write a ballot question that was a joke. They drew maps that were a joke. Now you're going to have huge chunks of rural Virginia represented by 5 or 6 Democrats who all live in Northern Virginia, within about 15 miles of each other. It's a complete joke. Everybody knows it. And there's a reason that all these national Democrats and all their money came into Virginia, because, you know, they don't really care about the people of Virginia. They just care about power."

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins: “You were talking about how busy you were this morning. James Comey was in court. He self surrendered. He’s now been charged a second time, this time over a social media post with seashells that said 8647. Do you really think that he was endangering your life or threatening your life with that post?” President Trump: “Well, if anybody knows anything about crime, they know — 86. You know what that’s a mob term for? Kill him, you know. Do you ever see the movies? 86 him. The mobster says to one of his wonderful associates, 86 him. That means kill him. It’s I think of it as a mob term. I don’t know if people think of it as something having to do with disappearing, but the mob uses that term to say, when they want to kill somebody, they say, 86 the son of a gun. I’m trying to keep the language nice and clear. They don’t use that term son of a gun. They use another term, but that’s a mob term for killing. Yeah.” Collins: “But do you really think your life was in danger? Because —” Trump: “Probably, I don’t know, you know, based on — based on what I’m seeing out there. Yeah.” Collins: “— the seashells?” Trump: “The — the people like Comey have created tremendous danger, I think, for politicians and others. You know, Comey is a dirty cop. He’s a very dirty cop. He cheated on the elections. He tried to help Hillary Clinton. As you know, he dismissed a lot of things that he should have proceeded with. I wasn’t involved, but he should have proceeded with, no, he’s a dirty cop. He’s a crooked man.”

Reporter: “As of today, there have been eight U.S. military fatalities associated —” Trump: “Right.” Reporter: “— with the war in Iran. How many American deaths are you willing to have in this war?” Trump: “Well, as I said before, when you have conflicts like this, you always have death. And I was at Dover yesterday. I met the parents and they were unbelievable people. They were unbelievable people, but they all had one thing in common. They said to me one thing, every single one: finish the job. Sir, please finish the job and I’ll leave you at that.”

NBC’s Craig Melvin: “In hindsight, were you able to be impartial [about his ability to run again]?” JILL BIDEN: Jill Biden: “Well, you know, the doctors did assure us. I mean, he had a exam every — every year — a health exam like every president does. The doctors assured us he was, you know, he was healthy, and I saw him doing the job every single day. Every single day he got up, he went into the office, he did the job, he passed bipartisan legislation. You know, he — he worked — and I saw him work hours into the night. So, I — you know, yes, did I see him, you know, slowing down a little bit? When he got tired, did he stutter a little bit at night? Yeah, sure. But he was still doing the job, and he was doing a good job.”

CNN's Van Jones was not a fan of Zohran Mamdani's angry, far-left, rage-filled victory speech: "I think he missed an opportunity. I think the Mamdani that we saw in the campaign trail, who was a lot more calm, who was a lot warmer, who was a lot more embracing, was not present in that speech. And I think that Mamdani is the one you need to hear from tonight. There are a lot of people trying to figure out, can I get on this train with him or not? Is he going to include me? Is he going -- is he -- is he going to be more of a class warrior even in office? I think he missed a chance tonight to to open up and bring more people into the tent. I think his tone was sharp. I think he was using the microphone in a way that he was almost yelling. And that's not the Mamdani that we've seen on Tiktok and the great interviews and stuff like that." "So, I felt like it was a little bit of a character switch here, where the warm, open, embracing guy that's close to working people was not on stage tonight. And there were some some other voice on stage. That said, he's very young. And he just pulled off something very, very difficult. And I wouldn't write him off, but I think he missed an opportunity to open himself up tonight. And I think that that will probably cost him going forward."

CNN’s Jake Tapper says journalists and comedians like Jimmy Kimmel are not the ones hurling incendiary rhetoric and are not irresponsible for the rise of political violence... “It is a big problem of calls for violence and dehumanization, and it’s getting worse. But it is not a problem to be wielded like a cudgel to try to stop journalism or jokes. Journalism and jokes are not calls for violence, calls for violence are calls for violence, and far too many Americans in positions of power and influence are too blasé and too glib about those who make them.”

CBS’s Ed O'Keefe: “So, if you’re asking for more time to sort out negotiations with Iran —” President Trump: “I’m not asking you for more time.” O’Keefe: “— not me, in general —” Trump: “I’m not asking it for them.” O’Keefe: “— if you need more time — Trump: “No, it’s not more time. I’m just — I’m not asking anybody for more time.” O’Keefe: “— if you need more time, does that mean Americans should anticipate spending more on gasoline for the foreseeable future” Trump: “For a little while?” O’Keefe: “For how long?” Trump: “And you know what they get for that? You know what they get for that? Iran without a nuclear weapon that’s going to try and blow up one of our cities or blow up the entire Middle East. You want to see what shock would be. And I — I have to be honest.” O’Keefe: “You're going to [inaudible] your whole year —” Trump: “The stock market is at an all time high right now. I thought it would have been down 20, 25% when we hit.” O’Keefe: “You want to drive prices down this year?” Trump: “Wait a minute. Wait, can I finish my question, wise guy? Stock markets at an all time high right now. I projected, and I’m pretty good at this, that the stock market, Howard, would drop maybe 20% 25%. And I understood that. And I said, hey, it’s bad thing, but I have to do what’s right for the country, even the world, because you can’t have them. You cannot let them have a nuclear weapon. So, the stock market, unlike what a lot of people were predicting, I thought they weren’t necessarily wrong. The stock market today hit an all time high, hit an all time high yesterday, the day before, and it’s staying there. I thought oil would go up to maybe $200 a barrel. And oil is at a very a different number than anyone thought. In fact, this country is much lower because we have all the oil we can use. We’re — we’re actually ships are coming from all over the world to Texas, Louisiana and Alaska. They’re coming from all over the world to get oil from the United States — you know, while this is closed, the Hormuz Strait. So, if you look at what I said, I guess it was right because I said I’d have it 4 to 6 weeks. And in four weeks we have totally defeated their military.” O’Keefe: “But you —” Trump: “So, right now, I don’t want to rush it because you guys are, you know, trying to make us look as bad as possible.” O’Keefe: “— do you —” Trump: “I don’t want to rush it. I want to take my time. We have plenty of time and I want to get a great deal. I want to get a deal where our nation and the world is safe from lunatics with nuclear weapons.”

USA Hockey goaltender Connor Hellebuyck to Bret Baier on what it’ll be like to return to his NHL team in Canada, the Winnipeg Jets.... “Yeah, you know, I actually am meeting the team in California. I’ll take a day. I need a day after this whirlwind. Mentally, this is going to be hard to get back in it. I need at least 24 hours to wrap my brain around this because this has been not only the most fun experience in my life, but you just see the pride in this country, and everyone that had our back and we had their back and there’s just so much more. It’s bigger than the game of hockey, and being able to go back. I know my city loves me in Winnipeg and I'm really looking forward to try to bring some joy back to that city as well and hopefully chasing a Cup, but in this moment, as I speak to you now, I am really enjoying every day and every second that I have.”

ABC’s Aaron Katersky: “Whatever happened in Minneapolis, a mother of three is dead, an American citizen. Do you have a message for her family? DHS Secretary Noem: “Yes, absolutely. And I reiterated this yesterday when I had my press conference in Minneapolis. I asked everybody not to just pray for the officer, but also pray for the deceased's family and her loved ones as well. It was a tragic situation that I hope we never see happen again. That's why I'm encouraging all elected leaders to work together, so that we can be cooperative in getting dangerous criminals off of our streets.”
