Ok, I did a little editing on Lily's animation here so she doesn't walk so much like one of those buff crocodile guys from Donkey Kong Country anymore. The suit is super tight and hard to move around in, so I'm gonna have to get used to trying to force certain movements.

track now though. This move should also free up more time for me to get work done on the project too! So that's always a big plus. Anyway, here's what I've been able to get done between the chaos! The ending of this one is going to be horribly disgusting and right in our faces!

And now we got a little holy mocap! Initially the Nun didn't event have any animation attached to her. She was just a simple rotation on her model. Now we've got some proper animation made for her!

Progress on the Mannequin death scene so far! She's about to get what I can only describe as "bowling balled." And that's just the start of things.

This is juuust about it for this one! All I need to do is get meatball head over here to slurp up them guts, and then maybe close with a pan out. Then I'll be actually testing it in-game to see how the blood decals look since I can't see them here in the editor.

Tonight I've got pretty much the entire outline of the animation done! He's just gonna start chowing down after this. Tomorrow night I'm gonna make the arm and neck meat that gets pulled off. Then it'll be time for lots and lots of blood! I may get it all done tomorrow night!

I've reached my stopping point for the night! The remaining clean up that needs to be taken care of here is pretty obvious, but this is what I've got so far!

Tonight was a busy one here at work, so i wasn't able to get as far as I would have liked. But when I get back to work, she's getting the brain bug treatment! Here's the bare-bones animation so far.

Still need to add some blood and brains sticking to the walls here, but this little part is mostly done now! A good chunk of the night was used getting his gore model set up. I'm hoping tomorrow night should be just about time to wrap this scene up finally!

Got the first of the giant fan deaths done tonight! I'll need another for if the player jumps into it, one for if they are crouched when they run into it, and then another for if they try to stand up while prone under it. I'll be getting back to it on either Monday or Tuesday!

Alright we're starting to get somewhere with this "flesh system!"

I've been working on the opening to the opening, if that makes sense. This is the scene leading up to the original intro cutcene at the front gate. I'm going for a more vintage horror feel this time around. I think it fits the game better.

We're looking pretty good on the first little side of this area! There's not too much more to do here. Then I can try testing combat against the mannequins with the new cameras.

Got some more showing the vent movements! Now we can climb up and down the shafts. Next I'll be designing the enemies for this part! It's kind of weird because they're all gonna be human for this part.

Finally knocked this one out! There was a lot of moving parts to this one, so I'm happy I took my time and got it done right. The next death scene will be for the the acid vomit attack!

Lily's going through some things right now... By tomorrow night I'll have this one done, and then it'll be back to a little gameplay stuff again before I get to the longer portion of this cutscene. One of the last of the demo too!

Warning: If content involving sexual violence is a no-go for you, do yourself a favor and skip this update! The ending scene to the nightmare is done! I think this one is about as screwed up as the Scavenger birthing scene from the original game. Now lets continue the story!

Got the next little snippet here! Just gonna be taking this scene piece by piece. We got the Doll Maker assembling his latest work! There's still a few more little cuts to this one before we wake up in the holding room- like in the original.

Here's something more similar in style to the original game! I think I will change Lily's sketch to match her health status, and probably add more bloody prints to the pages the lower her health is. It's definitely much more coherent and easier to read this way.

Last update of the night! This was a pretty good and productive shift tonight. I ended up doing something I did not expect for the other side of this area. I made it all a single shot! It's a little different, but I think that may help with the combat in this area a bit too.

Added a nice little effect so we can feel the power of those giant fans the closer we get to them. It's just a little screen shake, but I think it adds a lot to the feeling of being near them.

Scene done! This was a fun one to voice. For some reason I imagine the Doll maker to be kind of like Long Legs, so I was going for that sort of feel. Loved that movie! So freaking weird.

This is the scene I'm about to be working the death scene for next! This is the remake's equivalent to the original's qte dragging part. Seeing this, I also want to smooth some things out and improve the lighting for the encounter. It could look waaay better.

I learned how to use the GPU Profiler, and I was able to optimize the game enough that even I can play it at 100% resolution and around 60fps now! And that's with the screen recorder going too. Turns out there was a render target eating up about 20fps this whole time!

I finally got to finish the other death scene for Victor! Now that this one is done, it'll be time to move on to the giant baby boss fight! The first one will be similar to the fail condition in the original game, if you missed the qte.

I decided I'm gonna not do the ekg health-o-meter thingy. It's cool. And it's classic, but all the fixed cam indies are doing it now. I should do my own thing. I dunno if it's good or not, but it's at least different. The journal and her picture changes according to her hp now!

Alright, we're back here again! Back to setting up lights and cameras. I forgot that this was the final area that never got the latest light/camera treatment. I'm gonna take care of this area, and then I'll get back to that cutscene to finish it.

Ok so I actually managed to get all the lip syncing done tonight, so all that's left to do now is get her main body motions done for this part. Then that's it for this one!
