⚡️🇭🇷On this day 31 years ago, the military police operation Storm began. Operation Storm was a military-police operation in which the Croatian army and police liberated the occupied areas of the Republic of Croatia under the control of rebel Serbs, where the parastate Republika Srpska Krajina was established. The operation returned almost the entire occupied territory to the Croatian constitutional and legal order. The operation lasted 84 hours. Approximately 10,400 square kilometers were liberated (which makes up approximately 18.4% of the total area of the Republic of Croatia).

Luka Milovac was a high school senior from the town of Drniš who was brutally murdered by Kristijan Aleksić last Saturday while delivering a pizza to him. Numerous citizens, family, friends and school colleagues said goodbye to Luka at his funeral yesterday. His murder prompted a reexamination of the institutions and judicial system in Croatia.

It began on 1 May 1995, when Croatian military and police forces liberated the occupied areas of Western Slavonia in a lightning-fast operation. In just 31 hours, around 500 square kilometres of territory occupied by the Greater Serbian aggressor were liberated. In the action, 188 aggressors were killed while 2,100 were captured.
