I had a dream last night that I was building a local beef processing facility to sell at scale to my local community. I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. As it is now, there are thousands of head of cattle in my county. The vast majority are shipped by 18-wheelers to the Midwest, fed out, then processed and shipped back to us as a part of the national supply chain. I know we could produce a much better product at a competitive price by keeping everything close to home. It’s just a huge endeavor that would require investment and some help from the administration. But it is possible.

Girls wanted to make their own lip balm so we rendered 25 lbs of tallow and got a few lbs of beeswax from a neighbor. Will add vitamin e and essential oils. Maybe we need something for color? Will report results.

Kind of over politics. Too depressing. Might just stick with surf, farm, guns & healthy living poasting.

this one steer loves to do the exact opposite of whatever you need him to do. Every little thing is a fight... Counting down to his butcher date tbh.

Unplugged CEO Joe Weil on his time at Apple. "It was certainly very obvious you have to go out of your way to not hire white guys. My sons are white guys. I'm like what am I doing... I'm building a future that will exclude my sons from employment."

Whoever told me 3 yards wasn’t enough saved the day. Upped the order to five yards and used four and half. Whew lads, close one.

Reminder that the last Oregon governor’s election was decided by less than 40k votes. With some strategic migration we could reclaim the most beautiful state in the country.
