Really glad someone has made this chart. Lands a point I was making the other day. We've got to prioritise higher productivity growth in England's big cities—if national and regional leaders can make that happen then we will transform the whole country's economic prospects. Higher GDP isn't everything, but it's the foundation for everything else that matters, which is why this govt is focused on it and the Chancellor is leading on a bold plan for devolution and regional investment.

From tomorrow, the new energy price cap kicks in and will save the typical working family around £117 a year off their energy bills. Last week, the fuel duty freeze also took effect - saving the average motorist over £90.
