Temi, 6, and Mary, 5, have been homeless for six months. The family have been moved 10 times to different temporary properties. Their primary school is in Peckham, but they’re staying in a guesthouse an hour away. At their school, over HALF of the 300 pupils are also homeless.

Mikey is blind, autistic and learning disabled. He lives in supported living being cared for by Lifeways, the UK’s largest provider of complex community care. His mum installed cameras after becoming alarmed at his decline. “If it wasn’t for the cameras, Mikey would be dead.”

Sad to hear of Parmod Kalia’s death. A former subpostmaster whose life Post Office tried to destroy, wrongly accusing a father of theft and getting him sent to prison. I had the pleasure of spending time with him at his home last year. He died before receiving his compensation.

Working people are become the working homeless. Our investigation has found families with children living in tents and hotels. This was our lead story on News at Ten with tom bradby. We dedicated the first 10 minutes of the show to the housing crisis

The care of adults with learning disabilities and autism has been rapidly privatised in the last 30 years. It’s a sector now dominated by investment managers, private equity and foreign money while local councils who pay them are pushed to bankruptcy. Here’s a quick overview:
