On today’s Deep Dive show, U of Tehran Prof Sayed M. Marandi Seyed Mohammad Marandi made three major statements regarding the status of the war that everyone needs to b aware of — bc if time proves him right, America could b walking into a trap from which we may never escape. First, he claimed that Iran fired at the U.S. base in Jordan to *intentionally* draw a major response from President Trump. They calculate Iran can withstand all the fire we can dish but that America will run out of premium missiles before Iran does. Also, the blockade is causing significant harm to Iran and they don’t believe it’s in their interest to slowly bleed. Rather, they believe the total closure of the SoH (and the Bab al Mendeb) will soon cause major economic pain on the U.S. Second, if President Trump attacks Pickax Mountain, that is Iran’s trigger to attack energy infrastructure throughout the GCC countries, devastating energy facilities. That would almost certainly plunge the global economy into a depression. Third, Iran is on the verge of formally exiting the NPT, and already considers it a dead letter. When I asked if that occurs, would Iran run to a nuclear bomb, he would not directly answer the question, but did not deny it. Draw your own conclusions. Maybe all of the professor’s statements are just disinformation. Maybe the professor is just trying to scare the west into inaction. Maybe. But I would not bet the farm on it, because most of the things the Iran side says they will do related to war, they follow through.

This is not an insult or unkind comment, but IT IS NOW CLEAR PRESIDENT TRUMP IS SUFFERING GENUINE COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT. In the TruthSocial post shown in this video, President Trump flatly declared that we are not selling weapons to Ukraine, and that he has no idea what NATO does with the weapons we sell them. That was *directly* and explicitely contradicted by SecState Rubio Marco Rubio in Senate testimony last month, confirming we very much DO sell weapons to Ukraine and we know *exactly* what NATO does with them. Not that we needed to prove something so self-evidently true, but this alarming claim by the President, in public, when the whole world knows the reality, is evidence of genuine cognative decline; no one thinking straight would ever so painfully expose themselves to a lie of this magnitude. With this man at the helm of our Armed Forces, and making decisions that impact the financial and national security interests of our country, it is time for the Cabinet officials and members of Congress - regardless of party affiliation - to explore (immediately) Constitutional remedies for conditions like this. Failure to act now could prove catestrophic to our intersts later, when no remedy will be available.

Trita Parsi Trita Parsi, Executive Vice President of Quincy Institute, is reportedly being investigated by the U.S. Administration and may be in danger of being deported. I can only hope that is a scare tactic, or just fake news, bc not only would such an attempt to silence a critic of America's foolish war in Iran be unconstitutional, it would be incredibly foolish. Trita has been on our show many times, and has ALWAYS been a voice of reason, of intelligence, and perhaps most of all: pro-America. He is a genuine America-firster and all of his advice and critique has been centered on trying to convince the government to avoid policies that are harmful to us and to pursue policies from which we can benefit. We need more men like Trita Parsi in the national dialogue.
