After deep diving Alabama SS Justin Lebron, I cannot reasonably get behind him as a 1st rounder. 4.5% barrel, .311 wOBA, 48% GB, and 44% spin-whiff in SEC play. 50 pop feels lenient. Feel to pull helps. Sushi-level raw at SS, looks lackadaisical. ++run/ath Many more thoughts ⬇️

Florida State 1B Myles Bailey is quite polarizing. He whiffs an unbelievable amount for a notable draft prospect. But he has a 114.3 MPH 90th EV and 23.9° HH LA. May be some of the freakiest power ability on the planet? Hard profile to evaluate, but the homer tape is so fun.

Interested to watch Georgia’s Joey Volchko start tomorrow night in Omaha. Impossible arm to get a grasp on. Glaring red flags, but he throws absolutely outlier stuff. His “fastball” is just a 95 MPH cutter. Sweeper easy plus-plus. Arsenal tinkerer. More thoughts below.

Florida RHP Liam Peterson is a weird prospect to evaluate. Uncomfortable mechanics to watch, but he throws 96 and hit 101 twice with 21” iVB (high relH). Very imposing frame. Great spin caps as a pronator (2800-2900 SL/CB). SL one of the better pitches in R1 (51% miss). More ⬇️

Indiana State CF Carter Beck is such a fun prospect. Competition makes eval weird, but: 114.8 maxEV, 4% Z-Miss vs 92+, reverse splits, 12.3% BB - 11.6% K, dominated sliders, solid launch profile (I’d want some more AirPull), can run, rangy in CF, will do anything to make a play.

Liberty RHSP Ben Blair is a top draft crush of mine. Uber-athletic w/ outlier release traits (4.9’ relH / ~7.2’ ext). FB up to 98 has an unreal -3.8° t3VAA, and he can manipulate two different looks with it. 83 MPH SW has -15” HB. Fun 85-87 lifty CT running 65% str. 4% BB & +cmnd

I think some people are prospect fatigued on UCLA SS Roch Cholowsky, but if I were a decision maker picking 1.1, you couldn’t talk me out of him. ++ field, ~4.15 HP-1B, good swing decisions & bat-to-ball, handles spin, 114 maxEV with feel to elevate/pull (48% HHPull / 14° HH LA).

Arkansas RHP Gabe Gaeckle is my favorite arm in the 2026 class. Premium mechanics allow him to be high arm angle / low RelH. His fastball is why “riseball” is a term (93-96 with 99 before). Strong spin feel and plus CB/SL shapes. Meh CH. Needs location work. R1 guy for me.

Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns RHP Cody Brasch is one of my favorite project arms in the ‘26 draft. RP>SP guy who reminds me delivery wise of Trey Yesavage, but a poor man’s Cam Flukey is a good comp. Vertical mix with great breakers and a FB up to 100.4. Solid strike thrower. More ⬇️
