If you use bespoke tailors, Maison Hellard is having a 30% off sale on fabric. All proceeds will go to La Maison des Femmes, a French care center for victims of domestic abuse. IMO, Hellard makes the best linens for sport coats. I think Mildmay in the Carnet de Voyage book is quite nice and would look great as a thee-roll-two jacket with patched hip pockets. Note, this is fabric only — not garments — so you will need to give this to a tailor. Most men need 4 meters for a suit and 2.5 meters for a sport coat, but it's always best to check with your tailor, as issues such as a body type, fabric pattern, and single- vs double-breasted can change these calculations. Check with Hellard first if you want to use this for a suit, as some of the fabrics are very soft and better suited for sport coats (in my opinion). They also have some nice linings that are mercifully not as wacky as what you find in most tailor's books, but still more interesting than a solid color. WORK ETHIC vs. WANT ETHIC: "Next time you're watching a game and one player makes a play over another player, listen for the announcer to say, "Oh! He just wanted it more!" A note last night in the first half. We really did play some excellent football. Whilst i know Ugbo is, rightfully, coming under some stick of his lack of goals, he offers so much more to how we play. As does Josh Windass, who I am noticing is just about getting the recognition he deserves from the fans. The play in the first half was very different to the second half when those 2 went off. They both offer so much more insofar as overall game than the other options we have in those areas. A few clips below from key moments in the first half. Windass really did run the show in the final third and build up. He comes out of areas to allow straight passes where he is an option for first time reverse balls. He and Pol have really good chemistry down the right as Josh knows he will overlap and beat his man. The awareness from Josh with scanning that i picked out, allowing for high tempo play into space. A note on data: First half vs second half Passes 193 (87% ACC) vs 159 (78% Acc) xG 2.04 vs 0.42 Penalty area entries: 11 vs 6 From runs: 4 vs 2 Touches in the box: 16 vs 7 Long pass rate: 8.29 vs 13.29 Passes per possession: 4.11 vs 2.96 Wedensday's overall game is so much better when U Our game is so much better when Windass and Ugbo play. We teach our students entrepreneurship from a young age. This is an annual flea market where students bring their used toys, books and anything they don’t want to school to sell to their fellow schoolmates and even teachers. Before the market starts, we teach them how to advertise, price, negotiate and give change. This way, they can learn the art of buying and selling, get rid of things they don’t want and have fun. These are practical skills and knowledge that we should also give our children in Nigeria. Not all of them, but some of them will find their calling in business and can start at a young age. Our teachers have an instrumental role to play in teaching them, encouraging them and gaining other skills other than just teaching students what is in text books. The online world now is providing more opportunities to do business, and kids should be in this action. It will sow seeds for our future business ecosystem and add more value to our economy.

"Islam is trying to dominate the UK the same way as it dominated Egypt, the same way as it dominated Iran, the same way as it’s dominated every other nation that was previously not Muslim. They are trying to do it here. You’ve got 200 Sharia law courts that are inactive currently. But I’ll tell you this, all it’s waiting for is that tipping point where you get a Muslim majority area. So right now you’ve got Rochdale over in the north of England, you’ve got Bradford in the north of England, which are considered no-go zones, simply because there are inactive Sharia law courts there that even the police won’t go there because they’re afraid to go there. I believe Whitechapel is considered as one of those no-go zones. It’s one of those places where it’s such a strong Muslim community, even the police are afraid to even interject in anything that’s going on there. But when it topples over—over 50%, right now Tower Hamlets is 40% Muslim—once it topples over to 50%, that’s when you’ll start to see them pressing for more Islamic... that we want this as a Muslim area, we want this to take place, we want that to happen. They’ll start to dictate because they have the majority there. Right now they don’t. I don’t believe they have a majority in any area, but you’ve got 40% Muslim area in Whitechapel. Once they get to that place, they will want Sharia law activated in an area. Ben Jacobs is coming up on top-100 prospect status, and he's had great success in his first seven pro outings. 26.2 IP 39% K 9% BB 3.24 xFIP .167 BAA A third round pick out of Arizona State, the southpaw possesses a strong four-seam fastball. From a low 5.4 ft. release height, he averages 19 iVB and 9 inches horizontal at 94 mph, creating an very flat -4.1 VAA. 43% whiff. Hard to find comps from the left side, Shota Imanaga and Logan Allen are the best fits. Jacobs' main secondary is an 83 mph splitter with a somewhat inconsistent movement profile, averaging 10 iVB of separation from the fastball. Poor -6.4 VAA, but ran a 45% whiff rate. Will need more consistent feel below the zone to maintain success. 19% usage. He throws two breaking balls, an 85mph slider (5/-5, 2400 RPM), and a more slurvy, 80 mph breaker (-6/-11, 2600 RPM). The spin capacity is solid but the secondaries lack adequate velocity. Breakers combine for just 20% usage. I think he'd benefit from splitting the curve into a true SSW sweeper and a more depthy curve. The release traits and fastball shape make Jacobs a very solid bet to be a back-end big league starter, but to improve the upside he'll need to lower his fastball usage and sharpen the execution, velocity and shapes of the secondaries.

Dear Team Iron Will and Friends, I’d like to humbly request your prayers… I’ve spent almost all my adult life thus far serving in the Department of Defense - first as a Military Member and then as a Civilian doing protection and security. My goal has always been to make a difference while living in accordance with my values - Faith, Family and Freedom. We started Team Iron Will just over three years ago (Iron Will claims it was the day he was born!) and our impacts already, working on the organization in what little spare time we have (our focus is first on loving God and caring for our posterity - all amazing eight of them!), have been beyond our wildest expectations! Please check out some of what we’ve been able to accomplish here: And now I want to do more! I think God wants me to do more. Iron Will and the most vulnerable in our society need me to do more. To make a meaningful impact in a different way. Our Medical Advocacy Program is taking off big time, and we’re getting ready to launch a TIW Ambassador campaign as well! So I’m considering putting my trust in our Creator and throwing everything I have into championing the intrinsic value of people with Down Syndrome. Mbappe does not have the IQ to play football “very” effectively without his speed. Calm, and don’t drag me yet. Do you know why Messi is still effective at his age despite being slower? It’s because he has learned how to play football without having to run too much. At some point, Mbappe’s speed will reduce, but he doesn’t have that much IQ to survive so much without it. On dead ball situations where he doesn’t have to run, just watch, he’s less effective. He can’t drop a mad line-breaking pass, he can’t wiggle around players. I mean, anything that doesn’t involve his speed, he’s less effective. Of course he’s done a lot without his speed, but he’s less potent, I hope you don’t misunderstand this part. Mbappe is deadliest on transition. Same with Barcola and Dembele. If a team is in shape, these guys are not effective, e.g Paraguay…you can also see the France team, they don’t intend to keep the ball, their only plan is to wait for you to lose it and they play it to those 4 guys, you are finished. Since Gemini 3 came out I haven't been able to stop thinking about the idea of personalized software - the idea that you can just make whatever app you need. Where I keep getting stuck is that it still makes me feel like the joy is in creation while consumption is still very much ephemeral. I keep making new things, but I don't persistently use any of them (nor do I really want to). Here's a good example: Gemini 3 fully one-shotted this poem explorer that gives you one poem a day, that explains each line at hover, and offers suggested questions to explore the theme further. It's pretty good! But I suspect I feel more joy and delight that it was able to make it vs. actually finding something like this... useful? Maybe the soonest, most effective type of personal software is games because they're comfortably transient - I can play for a bit, have fun, and keep trying other games (Roblox model) - and that can be the whole point.

My kids can be finicky when it comes to food, but my problem is with me. I don’t want them to be without so what ends up happening is if they like something, I will stock up on it. This is why I have two mega boxes of slim Jims in my pantry, this is why I have 4 Costco size boxes of Welch’s fruit snacks and so on. I have yet to find a healthy compromise when it comes to keeping a decent amount of the foods they like in stock. They change their mind too much and when they stop eating it the food expires so I have to throw it away. Almost like clockwork right after I threw it away, they ask for it again. I definitely know how it feels to try to make sure the kids have things they want to eat but with them changing their minds so much, that makes it quite challenging and I really don’t have a viable solution except to run to the store every time they want something. What do you do in this situation? I am willing to try anything at this point to avoid the waste of food and money.

Elden Ring: Nightreign | Gameplay Overview Releasing exactly two weeks from today. ▫️ The overall structure of the map will not change from run to run - this includes Sites of Grace, cave entrances, and major geographical features. ▫️ Points of interest, rewards, bosses, and mini-bosses will be randomized each run however. ▫️ World Events can take place at the start of your run. This will affect the map or your next run in some way. ▫️ One example is 'Shifting Earth: Crater' which transforms the northern part of the map into a giant volcano pit. ▫️ Enemies in these areas are more challenging but you should always try to explore them. ▫️ IGN: "Exploring the crater took us pretty much the entire second day, but when we did eventually make it all the way to the bottom, we beat a boss that granted us an Epic rarity reward by itself [...] but then also the Unique reward of upgrading any weapon in your arsenal to Max Level for free." ▫️ If you don't want to play with the assigned World Event, you can reset it by sleeping at the Roundtable Hold. ▫️ Random Events can also occur during your run occasionally - similar to the Margit invasion in the Network Test. ▫️ More random events - A giant tornado can appear on the map. Upon reaching it, you're invaded by a group of challenging NPCs.
