2 Alarm Fire 1300 block H St NE. Considerable fire on arrival roof 3 story building with some extension to adjacent structure. Aggressive firefighting efforts have knocked down the fire. Working to cut off any further extension. No injuries reported. #DCsBravest

Update building collapse 19th &amp; H Sts NE. Search and Rescue K-9 team Battalion Chief Chris Holmes and K-9 “Chief” conducted a search of the debris and found no evidence of anyone trapped. #DCsBravest

Update 2 Alarm Fire 1400 block Chapin St NW. aggressive interior attack in progress on fire top floor & attic. 2 victims rescued & transported to hospitals, 1 serious & 1 critical. Additional residents removed via aerial ladder. Approx 20 units & 100 personnel operating. #DCsBravest

On 12/19/25, DC Police Department Officers Koksaldi, Carela, and Morgan responded to the report of a house fire on the 3300 block of E St. SE. Prior to the arrival of DC Fire and EMS Department, these officers were able to rescue/remove the occupant, saving their life. Today we honored them.

DC’s Bravest pay honor to fallen DC Police Department Officer Wayne David as his dignified transfer procession passes. He died in the line of duty on August 28th. May he rest in peace. #DCsBravest
