Malik Nabers was back on the practice field after being off on Saturday. He watched the early portion of indy drills before running a handful of routes and participating in a jog-through install period.

Caught up with Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo, who are promoting Bounty at the Super Bowl. Had to ask Skattebo for an update on his ankle, even though he's getting tired of the questions. Here's the latest: "I'm starting to run again and people are telling me to be careful and do this and do that. It's like, 'I'm good.' I'm not going to put myself in a bad spot, but I'm working to get better. I'm probably about two months out of being fully healthy. Getting there, but having a good time while doing it." They're even a duo as pitchmen. More to come in a story later/tomorrow.

My bold take: Cam Skattebo, for all his bruising rushing ability, will be the third-down back. Tyrone Tracy has the WR background but he struggled with drops/pass pro as a rookie. Skattebo had major receiving projection in college. Looks natural

Malik Nabers looking very smooth as he ramps up. After his usual participation in indy drills, Nabers went to a side field with trainers and cut it loose more than I’ve seen all camp. We can’t film that so this is just a route:

Malik Nabers looked good while participating in the first 20 minutes or so of practice. He did WR drills and caught passes while running routes on air. He watched a portion before heading into the facility midway through practice.

Know I'm late to this, but got sidetracked by all the news the past two days. On the weird Skattebo Wildcat play in the red zone, it definitely was not a pass (props to Jameis for going into scramble mode at the end though). Fields slipped and missed his block, but if Skattebo just hits the crease inside of Likely, there's positive yardage available. Bottom line, generally don't like the Wildcat and especially not after they ran the ball so well to get down there. But just wanted to take a closer look at what the heck happened on this one

Here's the Deonte Banks play. Watch the reaction from DB coach Jerome Henderson (white long sleeve shirt), who had already called out Banks for a lack of hustle earlier this season:

Malik Nabers in the home run derby. Jaxson Dart hit the most HR among the players. Cam Skattebo was hitting some bombs. Watching Kayvon swing you can take solace that he isn’t spending any offseason time in a batting cage

Here's the all-22 view of this play. Yes, Johnson is open initially, but even from a clean pocket that ball is going to have to be in the air for a long time. I'm not buying that he's out-running Grant Delpit. Like being aggressive with the lead and like this play design, but not sure the juice was worth the squeeze in this situation
