Kestrel is our new on-device speech-to-speech audio reasoning model: 1.1B parameters, 25 tokens/sec, 0.38 s TTF, F1-leader among lightweight audio LLMs. It processes raw audio in real time, infers intent, emotion, and environment, and responds - all without an internet connection. With Kestrel, agents gain ears: they can negotiate in meetings, monitor critical systems, or simply understand the room. It’s the next milestone toward securely embedding AGI everywhere.
