Russia has renewed its offer of the Izdeliye 177S engine for India’s Su-30MKI fleet during President Putin’s recent visit to India, putting propulsion at the centre of discussions around the Super Sukhoi upgrade plan. 🇮🇳🇷🇺 Su-30MKI currently uses the AL-31FP, producing 123 kN AB and 76 kN dry thrust. Its Total Technical Life was recently extended by HAL from 2,000 to 2,500 flying hours. The 177S can deliver 142 kN AB and 88 kN dry thrust, around 16% higher AB thrust, along with a 6,000-hour service life and lower fuel consumption.

Pakistan is set to start receiving J-35 stealth fighters from China as early as next year, ahead of schedule. A total of 40 jets will be delivered. It's important to note that a toned-down variant will be provided to Pakistan, but it's still a significant leap. Technical & Op Requirements: • Detection range: 4 km for 0.01 m² RCS • Autonomous launch, operation & recovery • Operable at high altitudes up to 4500m • Capable of integration with AKASHTEER • Jamming: Directional jamming range of 5 km & omni-directional range of at least 2 km
