During a recent episode on 'R&B Money' with Tank and J. Valentine, songwriter and producer Dewain Whitmore Jr. discussed the making of Chris Brown's "Residuals." Whitmore Jr. explained that the song was originally created in 2019 and sent to Chris Brown, but it didn't immediately come out. As time passed, it was played for several singers, including Usher, but ultimately made its way onto the '11:11' Deluxe in 2024.
