Senator Mitch McConnell has now been hospitalized for three weeks. The gravity of this situation cannot be overstated, especially given that his wife, Elaine Chao, appeared in China just days after his hospitalization to meet with high-ranking Chinese officials. The question now is about national security: if Senator McConnell has been unable to independently perform his duties, what safeguards exist to ensure classified intelligence briefings, defense appropriations information, or other sensitive congressional matters could not be accessed, discussed, or shared by individuals operating behind the scenes? And given the timing of Chao’s meeting with China’s vice president, what exactly was discussed?

It could be a complete coincidence, but a large amount of furniture and other items from the small apartment next to Senator McConnell’s home is being loaded into a junk truck. The neighboring property, which appears to be connected to McConnell’s residence, also appears to be undergoing renovations. Stay tuned for more.

Here is another bombshell Mitch McConnell clip from the June 4, 2026 vote-a-rama. In this clip, you can clearly see that John Thune and John Barrasso, two leaders of the Senate, were aware that Mitch McConnell was having difficulty voting and required assistance that evening from Senate staff and from McConnell’s handler, a man frequently seen wheeling him around Capitol Hill. Another interesting thing I observed throughout the vote-a-rama is that Thune and Barrasso did not appear to spend any meaningful amount of time speaking with McConnell. That makes the reports of their roughly 20-minute conversations with him while he was hospitalized particularly intriguing.

A Capitol Hill source sent me a Department of Energy hotline on S.1674, the Mammoth Cave National Park Boundary Adjustment Act of 2025, which is Senator Mitch McConnell’s bill. That raises an obvious question: if Senator McConnell is still at George Washington University Hospital, how did this legislation move forward? Do Senate staff have the authority to advance legislation like this on behalf of a senator? I followed up with Senator Mitch McConnell’s communications director, Stephanie Penn, hoping to get answers and a response to the questions raised in my previous video. Specifically: Where did this legislation come from, and how was it approved if the senator remains hospitalized? Stephanie Penn had no response and walked into Senator Katie Britt’s office.

Enough is enough. It’s day 26 of Mitch McConnell’s hospitalization and the narrative by Senate Republican leadership is that McConnell is a medical miracle. If so then why can’t he resign? Everyone needs to read Mitch McConnell’s statement from yesterday very carefully. It says he was discharged from hospital care, yet he’s still here at the hospital in rehabilitation. I don’t know why anyone would keep a high-profile figure like Senator Mitch McConnell at this hospital if he could be safely moved. There are paparazzi, independent journalists like me, Substack influencers, and hundreds of college students around here every day. If he were physically able to leave, why wouldn’t he be transferred to a more private and secure facility? If he were well enough to travel, I think he likely would have been at the Capitol today for Senator Lindsey Graham’s memorial events.

The family of the man whose image represented the Redskins logo wants everything back. This wasn’t just a brand. It represents the legacy of a man and his father, who came to Washington after members of their Blackfeet Tribe were killed by the U.S. military, determined to protect their people from suffering the same fate. Now their descendants are asking the Washington Commanders for one thing: hear their voices. The family does not believe the Redskins was racist, and the history deserves an honest examination. Smithsonian Institution senior linguist Ives Goddard researched the term’s origins and found evidence that Native Americans themselves used the term in early recorded history. For years, activists and nonprofits raised money while campaigning against the name. Where are those voices now that this Native American family is finally being heard? And where is mainstream media? Senator Mitch McConnell appears to remain hospitalized, based on the continued presence of his U.S. Capitol Police protective detail, making today day 37. He is expected to miss another Senate roll call vote at 5:30 p.m. today, bringing the total number of missed votes since his June 14 hospitalization to 29, leaving the people of Kentucky without their senator’s vote on those roll calls.

I want everyone to compare Senator Mitch McConnell’s 45-day hospitalization for what his office has described as a fall with no major medical complications and mild pneumonia to Senator Ben Ray Luján, who suffered a stroke requiring emergency decompressive brain surgery yet was absent from the Senate for only about five weeks. Senator McConnell’s hospitalization will reach seven weeks this weekend.

My research into Senator McConnell’s voting record, along with my review of the June 4, 2026 vote-a-rama, which involved 27 roll-call votes, indicates that he appeared fairly well early in the morning but declined noticeably as the day progressed, eventually requiring assistance from staff, clerks, and fellow senators to cast his votes. During the final hours of voting, he appeared nearly unresponsive for extended periods, sitting in a chair with very little movement. Given the timing and the apparent deterioration in his condition over the course of the vote-a-rama, I believe the prolonged voting session may have contributed to his hospitalization 10 days later.
