During the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Friday night, CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer awarded the Wall Street Journal with the first-ever Katharine Graham Award for Courage and Accountability, while President Trump was seated just feet away on stag This award recognized seven WSJ reporters for their coverage of Trump's previous ties to Jeffrey Epstein, which led to the release of the Epstein files. Blitzer pointed out that Trump had filed a $20 billion lawsuit against the Journal in reaction to its reporting, which disclosed the home address of lead reporter Khadeeja Safdar, forcing her family to move, and resulted in the Journal being removed from the Air Force One press pool. Cameras frequently cut to Trump, who appeared to be smiling and shrugging. After Safdar received the award, Trump stood up and shook her hand. Karoline Leavitt was also seen giving Trump a pat on the back during the award presentation.
