Simhastha Mahakumbh: A Celebration of Faith, Heritage and Tradition Glad to inaugurate the 'Simhastha Mahakumbh Bhakti Sangam' in Nashik today. The Kumbh Mela is an ancient and unparalleled tradition that carries the timeless spirit of India’s faith and culture. This sacred land of Nashik is home to Trimbakeshwar Mahadev, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, and is deeply connected with Saint Nivruttinath and the great Nath tradition. The Simhastha Mahakumbh is a magnificent expression of India’s faith, culture and spiritual traditions. Through 'Bhakti-Sangam,' the diverse traditions of our Sant-Mahants are coming together in a spirit of devotion and unity. Nashik and Trimbakeshwar have the capacity to accommodate around 50 lakh people, while crores of devotees are expected to gather here during the Kumbh. Keeping this historic scale in mind, we are creating modern infrastructure and better facilities that will not only support the Mahakumbh but also strengthen Nashik and Trimbakeshwar for the next 50 years. New roads, a ring road, improved pilgrim facilities and the Trimbakeshwar Corridor will transform this sacred pilgrimage region. The Simhastha Mahakumbh is not merely a gathering of devotees. It is a celebration of India’s timeless civilisational heritage and the spiritual strength that has united generations. With the blessings of our Sant-Mahants, we will make this Simhastha Mahakumbh a grand and memorable celebration, one that honours our rich heritage and leaves behind a lasting legacy for Nashik and generations to come. Congress leaders opposed the construction of the Ram Mandir, they now refuse to sing the Vande Mataram. Even when it comes to women empowerment, the Congress and its leaders have continued to fail. The Congress and its allies killed the historic Women's Reservation Bill. Congress-ruled States have failed to ensure adequate representation of women in their own Cabinets, exposing the party’s double standards on women’s rights. The next target of the opposition’s propaganda is our sacred Nashik-Trimbakeshwar MahaSimhastha Kumbh Mela 2027. Misleading narratives have already begun to be propagated around this historic and revered religious gathering. But India’s citizens are aware, intelligent and capable of examining facts rather than accepting false narratives. Under the leadership of our Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, India has emerged as the world’s fourth-largest economy and is advancing rapidly towards self-reliance. Significant measures have been undertaken under the leadership of our Hon PM Modi Ji to empower women and youth and create greater opportunities for their progress. Maharashtra continues to perform strongly across various national and global rankings, while also emerging as a leading destination for foreign universities and attracting substantial foreign direct investment. Initiatives such as 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' and 'Lakhpati Didi' are further advancing women’s empowerment and economic participation.
