FSD V14.1 Spends 20 Minutes Looking For Parking Spot at Costco This video is sped up 35x once we get hunting for a spot and during that time the car pulls of some really inellegent moves while searching. We did not once pass any empty available spots, the only issue is we didn't go deeper into the parking lot to search and we didn't sit and wait for people who are unloading their carts. I will post the longer narrated copy of this in a bit - but this honestly is incredible... the other thing worth noting is during the entire 20 minutes we searched for a spot not ONCE did a human driver or pedestrian look at the car and question what it was doing, we fit in the entire time very naturally.

Hey Grok, Take Me Home After finishing meeting with a client earlier today I got into the car, asked Grok to navigate me home, and then I pressed the button to start Self-Driving. Nearly an hour later I was home and FSD had handled the whole drive without any issue. Tesla is the only car that can do this.

I think everyone should listen to this. Tesla FSD has gotten so incredibly good that people are now getting so hung up on the lingering issues and completely dismissing the fact that we literally have self-driving cars. When I grew up the idea of a self-driving car was something out of science fiction. Ten year old Devin could have never guessed that later in life his car would be driven by electricity and drive itself. The future is cool, appreciate it for what it is and don't get too hungup on the imperfections along the way. Tesla is actively putting out new updates as fast as they possibly can to continue to make FSD better - let them cook, and enjoy the ride.

FSD V14.3.5 left lane camping This really needs to get fixed - this driving behaviour really agitates other people on the road, and there’s just no reason for FSD to drive this way. Let me know if you disagree - but I don’t see a world where this style of driving is correct.

How to ensure FSD takes your preferred route This may be obvious to some, but this is something I use everyday when I am driving home… normally FSD takes the “wrong” way home, so I used to have to disengage everytime and re engage FSD once I was on the proper road… but this little trick fixes that. Hope this is useful to at least one person!

FSD can be disengaged by a passenger. This is just a quick PSA to let people know that it is possible for someone sitting in the passenger seat to disable FSD while it's being used. I saw a post today (link below) where a couple was driving and the passenger unintentionally put the car into neutral while driving down a windy road - causing a minor accident. Truthfully I am not sure why it's even possible to put the car into neutral while it's driving, what is the reason that would be needed? Curious what everyone thinks of this?

FSD V14.1.7 | Near Accident This is without a doubt the closest I have come to getting into an accident in a long time. I think had I not taken over and slammed on the brakes we would not have slowed down in time. You can see that FSD does an incredible job reacting to the car (even before I noticed it) and was slowing down, but it was not slowing down enough to stop in time. As soon as I saw the car swerving to the right I worried she was going to bounce back into my lane so that is when I decided to go full on the brakes to stop the car. You can see prior to me taking over we were full regen braking (which is FSD reacting well) but it wasn't using any real brakes at all, and ABS was not active until I took over. Let me know what you all think in the comments. I still think FSD is incredible - the reality is if you watch the video the car saw and reacted to the situation before I did, it just didn't brake as agressively as it needed to in this situation. FSD + an attentive driver is without a doubt in my mind still safer than a normal human driver who is not using FSD.

Frozen door handles PSA For any new Tesla owners here’s a tip for how to deal with frozen door handles. I ran into this problem last year and didn’t realize how much easier it was to open if you pressed down on the opposite side first - so hoping this can help anyone who hasn’t had this issue yet. Merry Christmas all

FSD V14.3.4 new behaviour when arriving at Destination. The car now pops up a new dialog box and indicates how the car is going to park when you are arriving at your destination. This feels 100% like being in a robotaxi or Waymo - I think I love it? It makes the whole FSD experience feel that much more refined and takes away any unknowns when you’re getting to your stop. Do you all like this?

FSD struggles to get out of parking spot due to lack of front bumper camera. This is a clip from my latest YouTube video, but it felt worthwhile to post separately and discuss. This to me is a clear example of FSD getting itself into a situation that it can’t get out of due to a lack of a front bumper camera. You can see the car wants to back up to gain vision, but becuase the spot was so tight it couldn’t back up anymore. What do you all think?

I hesitate posting this for a bunch of reasons, but I think it's good to just be transparent about everything. I love to highlight all of the incredible things that FSD does, but I also think it's good to talk about any issues that it has currently. In my opinion the E2E on the highway needs some major changes. This clip was from my drive yesterday, and it is without a doubt the most dangerous situation that FSD has put me in. Yes, I am aware that it is FSD Supervised - everything that happens in the car is ultimately my responsbility. I just was wanting to see what the car would do, and I was hoping that it would make a better decision to be honest. Let me know what you think.

I save over $6,000 a year driving a Tesla It's cheaper for me to own a brand new EV and make payments on it - than it is to have a paid of ICE vehicle. If you're looking for a new vehicle and you aren't considering an EV I would strongly urge you to reconsider. We have owned our Tesla for two years now and driven it nearly 90,000km... At first I was aprehensive about owning an EV due to all the FUD that was online, but now I could never imagine going back to an ICE.

Rivian Universal Hands-Free vs Tesla Self-Driving This was my first time testing Rivian's new Universal Hands-Free, and I was honestly surprised by how it performed. I understand this is their first attempt and it will only improve from here, but truthfully, it is worse than any version of FSD or Autopilot I have ever used. I respect Rivian as a company, but I always try to remain unbiased in my opinions, so here are my unfiltered thoughts on where UHF stands today. Hoping to test it more as the system receives major updates! Hope you all enjoy the video. Falling asleep at the wheel with FSD V14.2 I think this is a HUGE improvement over what would happen previously, so well done Tesla AI Also shoutout to Dirty Tesla for posting about this - I just wanted to make this video since it actually showcases the car pulling over on a road. What do you all think about this?
