Chandigarh Grenade Attack Case Solved In a major breakthrough, the Counter Intelligence wing of Punjab Police, in a joint operation with Chandigarh Police, solves the Chandigarh grenade attack case. Five persons involved in the incident have been arrested and the two perpetrators involved in the attack have been identified. One grenade, and other cache has been recovered so far. Police teams are conducting operations to nab the absconding accused. Preliminary investigations reveal that the module was backed by #Pakistan’s ISI, and foreign-based handlers in #Portugal & #Germany have been identified. Multiple cutouts and sub-modules were used. This operation has effectively foiled a major terror conspiracy aimed at disrupting peace and harmony in the region. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the main accused involved in the case. Punjab Police India remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring the safety, security, and communal harmony in the region.

A major blow to the deep-rooted terror conspiracy involving #Pakistan’s ISI and the pro-Khalistan Elements. Continuing further investigations into the Railway Track attempted IED blast at Shambhu, District #Patiala on April 27, 2026 Patiala Police & #SSOC Amritsar, in a joint operation, recover 01 Rocket Propelled Grenade(RPG) launcher, 01 metallic IED weighing 2.296 kg along with detonators and battery, 02 packs of RDX weighing 1.456 kg, 01 hand grenade, 03 high-end pistols with magazines and ammunition, and 02 wireless sets with headphones from Village Panjwarh Khurd, District #TarnTaran. Investigations reveal that this terror module was backed by a #Malaysia-based entity, with financial support being routed through Malaysia. The network’s links with the #Sirhind Railway Track blast and the grenade attack on CIA #Moga are being investigated . Preliminary investigation reveals his role in the Shambhu blast, Sirhind railway track blast, and grenade attack on CIA #Moga, all executed under the directions of foreign-based handlers. With this arrest and earlier recoveries, all three terror-related incidents in #Moga, Sirhind, and Shambhu are successfully solved. In a joint operation against, #Pakistan's ISI operative in Punjab, a collaborative effort between UP Police & Punjab Police led to an encounter with three operatives of KZF in the jurisdiction of PS Puranpur, Pilibhit. Recovery: Two AK rifles and two Glock pistols The three operatives—Varinder Singh (alias Ravi), Gurwinder Singh, and Jashanpreet Singh (alias Partap Singh)—are residents of PS Kalanaur and are accused of attacking the Bakshiwala Police Station in Kalanaur. This module is controlled by Ranjeet Singh Nita, the chief of KZF, and operated by Jaswinder Singh Mannu, based in #Greece, a resident of village Agwan. It is further controlled by Jagjeet Singh, based in the #UK and serving in the #British Army. Jagjeet Singh used the identity of Fateh Singh Baggi. I thank UP Police for the excellent support given in our inter-state operation.
