Information has now come to light that the national highway was briefly blocked during an operation to apprehend accused involved in a theft at Jagadamba Jewelry store near #BencheGate in #Kalamabella, #Shira taluk. Thanks to the courageous pursuit by locals and swift police action, four accused individuals were finally caught. After the robbery that took place on February 22 around noon, the accused fled in a Bolero car. Locals chased them for approximately 8 to 10 minutes, covering an estimated 15 kilometers on the national highway. The accused's vehicle reached up to #Tavarekere. During this chase, the locals provided information about the robbers' vehicle to the police. Upon receiving the information, police immediately barricaded and blocked the national highway at Tavarekere, setting a trap for the accused. Unable to flee Tumakuru district, the accused took refuge in the Huilu Dore forest area. Based on information, police conducted a combing operation in the forest overnight.
