small milestone for me today. first app i’ve ever built is live 🇻🇳 "no plan route" is a curated vietnam map made for travelers who want something a bit more authentic. backpackers, nomads, people exploring by scooter, people trying to avoid tourist traps… this is who i had in mind while building it. the app currently includes curated spots across vietnam: ☕ cafes 🏝 hidden gems 💻 coworking spaces 🍜 local food 🗺 daily picks 🫂 community suggestions the project is still early and i’ll spend this weekend improving it: • fixing remaining bugs • adding tcg locations • expanding the map with more spots • improving the overall experience • refining discovery and recommendations if you know a hidden gem, local cafe, food spot or random place people should know about, there’s now a “+ suggest” button directly inside the app. drop it there and help build the map with me! would love for this project to become community driven over time and as a reminder… this is literally the first thing i’ve ever coded so feedback is more than welcome. if you like it, a ⭐ would mean a lot

walked into a vietnamese dental clinic this morning with low expectations, left 40 minutes later with cleaner teeth than any paris dentist ever managed x rays, full cleaning, modern equipment, dentist trained abroad, 18$ total, booked yesterday by message back in france that same appointment costs around 80€, takes weeks to get, then you fight paperwork hoping to get part of it reimbursed lol quality of care has nothing to do with price anymore. moving countries changed what i pay, never what i receive.

my gym in vietnam costs me 7 dollars a month two floors, full equipment, free weights, machines, open windows on outside, locals and expats mixed no ac but you sweat the way you’re supposed to sweat same setup in paris is 69 euros a month with a 2 year contract and a guy at desk trying to sell you protein who’s twice as small as you (lol) we got robbed for 20 years and accepted it as normal.
