I'm possibly late to this, but this "melon jelly" thing is completely nuts and I don't know what world we're living in anymore

A new design pattern that's popping up: tab + dropdown Navigational tabs mixed with complex dropdown behaviour, mimicking a mega menu! Our apps are getting so complex that we're bending traditional simplicity rules Alternatives may include: DropTab PillDrop MegaTab PopTab

Slots are so much better for Figma performance Here's my recommendation for the iOS 26 kit, reducing the Segmented Control down from a 14 component variant set, down to a single component with two sub components! (Note: this is a breaking change)

Hey you can now make changes to Figma pages on batch 🍞 You can: • Move them • Rename them, including regex 🤤 • Delete them

The new Dropbox brand website is so good 👏 I think it's one of the few scroll-based websites I've really enjoyed using because of how incredibly slick and interactive it is Have a play:

The component audit widget is live! It scans your Figma library, then: – Shows components by page – Shows components missing variables/styles – Lists components without descriptions – Lists components without links – Print a summary frame for a log

Found a dream plugin for making typography scales, it creates: – Variables – Styles with variables as values – Sticker sheet on the canvas And you can build ramps based on a ratio/calculation as well, saving a tonne of time

I haven't fully thought this through but... I think there's a lot of potential in using Figma Make embeds in Figma Design for inline and interactive design system documentation

Just hit publish on a new guide! It's called "Variable mapping and design system structure" and you can grab it here: It's hopefully a way to provide some guidance on how to structure your variables and collections according to how your system is set up

Just published another colour resource to the Figma community 🖍️ This one is..large: • 1620 full spectrum colours • 5 saturation levels for every colour • Each colour swatch as a component • Side by side comparison of each saturation level
