Slots are so much better for Figma performance Here's my recommendation for the iOS 26 kit, reducing the Segmented Control down from a 14 component variant set, down to a single component with two sub components! (Note: this is a breaking change)

Okay friends, let's say you're building a list component ❖ Which method do you use? A – Using a variant set with options for each amount B – Use booleans to toggle visibility of a single list component

The component audit widget is live! It scans your Figma library, then: – Shows components by page – Shows components missing variables/styles – Lists components without descriptions – Lists components without links – Print a summary frame for a log

Component style variants are here! You can now define multiple style options for a single component — like a Button with solid and outline styles, a Card with horizontal and vertical variants, and more 🤯 Read more in the updates post:

Breaking: Google just released a report dramatically reducing the requirements for a quantum computer to break Bitcoin's cryptography. The timeline for preparedness is now 2029. I sat down with nic carter & Alex Pruden from Project Eleven on The Aubservation with Aubrey Strobel to break it all down. Enjoy.

Two ways to handle a blocking component in Next.js: • Cache: so it can be prerendered with the rest of the page. • Stream: so the rest of the page doesn't have to wait for it.

I remember a while ago someone said that Notion doesn't have a design system, so I think I might make something I'll build how I would approach making a Figma kit in the Notion style, with naming conventions and an opinion on component structure and then post to the community

New component drop: Card At Feedly we had 20+ card components. A mess we kept trying to refactor into something cohesive. So I built the one to rule them all. 6,144 combinations, each tested by my own two eyes. I could play with these settings for hours. Open source →

I was ready to tear my (remaining) hair out. Every shadcn UI kit for Figma I found on Figma Community was of poor quality, missing components or outdated. 😡 My client's deadline loomed, and I needed a solution fast... That's when inspiration struck. With my seven years of experience creating Figma resources and managing the Ant Design System, why not make the kit myself? 🤔 I dove in, pouring my expertise into every component. Days blended as I crafted, refined, and perfected. 🥵 Finally, I sat back and smiled. Before me was the high-quality, up-to-date Shadcn UI kit I'd been searching for, complete with customer support. 🤩 As I prepared to share it with the world, I felt a surge of excitement. This wasn't just a solution to my problem – it was a resource that could help thousands of other designers and developers. It’s not a dream. I made it.

i'm in the midst of purchasing a vitsoe unit. but hard to visualize from just the drawings they share fable 5: - researched + measured every 606 component then rebuilt the whole system as parametric USDZ - vision QA'd its renders in a loop until every component matched 1:1 - built a JSON schema for the whole 606 system, so any possible vitsoe config compiles to an iOS native AR model instantly
