While the spin-off series is just fine based on what I've seen, the original Brad Bird-directed episode from "Amazing Stories" is an underrated gem that deserves more recognition for helping start the TV animation renaissance. Visually, it was practically on theatrical levels.

"Liquid Television" deserves more recognition during this current indie animation boom. One short film showcased on the program was "Technological Threat" by Bill Kroyer, Rich Moore, and Brian Jennings. It is a great cartoon that should be relevant today in an age of AI fears.

I'm in severe disbelief about Guy Moon's passing. He was like the Carl Stalling of 2000s cartoons with how memorably cheery and in-sync with the actions on screen his scores were. A prime example is the "Fairly OddParents" episode "Pipe Down!"

The ultimate Disney TV cartoon and the most nostalgic portrayal of Mickey and friends, IMO! I rewatched the first few episodes last night and forgot until now how hilarious "Hickory Dickory Mickey" is. I love how oddly specific Mickey's promises were in the flashbacks.

Watched the British animated short "The Last Belle" last night. The whole film was phenomenally animated (a 2011 short done WITH CELS!), but this particular highlight with the drunk character tumbling down the subway rivals the craft of that one "Thief and the Cobbler" scene.
