In this case, the distended veins and exaggerated pulsation may reflect elevated central venous pressure (CVP), which is frequently seen in congestive heart failure (CHF). Always assess bilateral pulses, look for edema, and correlate blood pressure with cardiac examination findings.

Treatment for Whiteheads & Blackheads (Comedonal Acne) Whiteheads = closed comedones Blackheads = open comedones Both are due to clogged pores (sebum + dead skin) → so treatment is aimed at unclogging pores and preventing new blockage. ⸻ Best Treatment Plan 1. Salicylic Acid (Most important) •Works by dissolving oil and clearing pores •Use 1–2% face wash or serum •Once daily at night 2. Retinoid (Night treatment) •Examples: Adapalene, Tretinoin •Prevents comedones formation •Unclogs existing whiteheads/blackheads •Use pea-sized amount at night (start 3 nights/week) 3. Benzoyl Peroxide (If acne also present) •Kills acne bacteria •Use 2.5% gel in morning (thin layer) 4. Moisturizer (Very important) •Use non-comedogenic moisturizer •Otherwise skin produces more oil → more blackheads 5.
