A MIRACLE BEFORE OUR EYES Meet Asaf. He was critically injured three months ago when Hamas terrorists fired an RPG at the tank which he commanded. His three tank mates - Shlomi, Shoham, and Yuli - were all killed. Asaf suffered from burns over 85% of his body. He was in a coma for a few weeks. A HOSTAGE ASKED FOR ONE THING BEFORE HE WAS MURDERED Remember this name. Ori Danino. His picture appears in the first comment below. Ori was at the Nova party on October 7. He escaped to his car and was driving to safety. Some people who he first met the day before at the party called him and asked if he could help them. Ori turned his car around. He drove back to the site of the terror attack. Ori went back to save Maya and Itay Regev, and Omer Shem Tov. All four were taken hostage. But Ori didn’t allow himself to be taken hostage easily. He punched the terrorist who kidnapped him, breaking his skull and causing him to lose his sight. At some point during the kidnapping Ori was shot in the shoulder and ended up in captivity in Gaza with a bullet lodged in his shoulder. During the first few days in captivity Ori physically fought with the Hamas terrorists so that they would give medical treatment to Hersh Goldberg Polin, whose arm was blown off during the kidnapping. Thanks to Ori’s struggle, the terrorists worked to at least close Hersh’s wound. Ori spent time in captivity with Eliya Cohen. Ori asked Eliyah to promise that if Ori was killed but Eliya survived, he would make sure that a Torah scroll was written in his memory. Ori was executed by Hamas terrorists in September. Eliya was freed after spending 505 days in captivity. (The three hostages that Ori went back to save - Maya and Itay Regev, and Omer Shem Tov - have also been released) Eliya told Ori’s family about his wish for a Torah scroll to be written in his memory. And a few days ago, his wish was fulfilled. The Torah scroll cover includes the sentence that Ori was fond of saying: “I want to be good enough for the world to be the person I would want to spend time with.” WATCH as Ori’s parents go to Ori’s grave and his father informs Ori that a Sefer Torah has been completed in his memory as per his wish…

I will stop right here for a moment. They are learning how to use a prosthesis and how to talk again, and they are taking time out to meet with young children suffering from illnesses. Wow. The soldiers asked this boy if he has any hobbies. He replied that he loves to take pictures, especially of birds. But that it’s hard for him because he is weak and he doesn’t have a tripod to hold his camera. The soldiers heard that and didn’t hesitate. WATCH to see these injured IDF soldiers, amputees, presenting this young boy with a new tripod. My goodness I love my country!

THIS. IS. VERY. POWERFUL. Meet an IDF commander. He leads an elite commando unit. He led the battle against close to 100 terrorists in Kibbutz Kisufim on October 7, 2023. He and his soldiers then fought against Hamas terrorists throughout Gaza. At a later point he and his commandos were sent to Lebanon where they fought and killed Hezbollah terrorists. He was injured in Lebanon. But he worked hard to recover quickly and returned to lead his soldiers in Gaza. In fact, he helped lead the IDF effort to locate hostages. He got married this week. And at the end of the wedding ceremony, right before breaking the glass to remember the destruction of the Temple, he recited the names of his soldiers and a close friend who were killed during the war. WATCH to experience the emotional moment… Wishing him safety and success in his service, and a long life filled with happiness alongside his new wife. Mazal tov!
